Wasn't it the case that Ferdinand was the one who cautioned the club against signing Richards because of the baggage involved in him coming back to West London? |

I'm not sure he's shielding the players at all there. He's making it pretty clear that he was telling them all week that it was going to be a tough game and that they'd need to be up for it, but that they didn't manage it. |

Interesting comments from MC in West London Sport tonight.
“We tried during the whole week to let them understand that this was a very difficult game – probably the most difficult game of the season.
“It looked like Sheffield Wednesday were playing for their lives and unfortunately I was not good enough to convince my players that today we needed that kind of intensity.” |

I don't think the captaincy is seen in the same way in many countries as it is here. Other than going up for the toss there's nothing that Cook couldn't do now that he could do as captain. Changing the captain when he arrived would probably wasn't something Cifuentes even considered. |

I'm currently with Surfshark and was thinking of going over to Nord when my subscription runs out. Getting on to Now TV when abroad with Surfshark is pretty much impossible, but that may be because i don't have the personalised IP address option added on.
Does anybody who has used Nord and Surfshark have a view on which is better for streaming when abroad? |

The signings are more encouraging than I thought we'd be able to make, if we were able to make any at all.
But we've learned enough supporting this club now to know that transfer windows are best judged in retrospect. |

I thought that Drewe was OK defensively today, but not so good when he had the ball in the final third.
I'm not so sure why there's been such on a focus on him today though while there's not much comment on the likes of Colback and Field. |

I suspect the 20 plus wins had more to do with our FFP breaching wage bill, and the signing of player after player, than any supposed qualities that Barton had. |

Agreed Davie. The problem is that we've been here before with previous TV deals.
The money won't be used by most clubs to pay off debts and stabilise, it will be used to pay ever higher wages to players in the hope of getting promoted. And on it will go. |
