Hi Clive, I've just tried to sign up but it's taking me to a site which is priced in USD; is this correct? |

Reckon we met your “lady†in the pub after! Thank goodness we were booked on the train home and couldn’t take up her offer! |

Superhoops! More like Superhoofs! I said exactly the same thing to my neighbour about the number of green jacketed assistants; how on earth can we afford that many and what exactly is their job? |

Great write up Simon! I think I’m right in saying that he was the first footballer to “signal†the intention before taking a corner and as for that free kick you describe, we’d employed it several times that season until it was shown on the Big Match; Brian Moore and co dissected it and it had to be consigned to the bin as the cat was out of the bag. |

Clive, I've don't understand the comment 3 miles is too far to walk? I'm in my mid fifties and quite often will walk from Marylebone to HQ (takes just over an hour, 4.5 miles) and yesterday went to Wycombe v Scunny where the walk from the train station is 2.75 miles and took about 45 mins. Find it sad that people are so sedentary these days! |

Young Mr Clive, I've already posted on this site that you are truly gifted with the prose; long may it continue. I too am feeling nervous about Monday, but being a supporter for more than 45 years does this to one! If this team manages to negotiate the next 8 games in the same manner as the previous 38 I believe that they would rank only second to THE team of the mid 70's. As an aside as a 12 year old, a friend and myself used to attend any game locally that we could when the R's were away, I remember travelling to Watford (from Slough) to see them play Sheffield United, when Currie was playing; we arrived so early that we approached by a total stranger who offered us a job of selling hot dogs. We took up the offer and had to do with a partial view through the crowd from the top corner of what would now be the away end until we run out and were able to watch the second half. Can you imagine 12 year olds working and Handling knives these days? |
