If it is correct that the Club have given Dave Sweetmore his job back when they had appointed someone else I am extremely surprised and disappointed that the Club have agreed to this . From a personal point of view I am not happy - I will have to go back to my ear plugs again!
What I saw yesterday was Team Rochdale playing Keith Hill Football - on the ground with skill and accuracy instead of kicking the long ball up to the front and losing it. Every member of the team tried -some weaker than others - would love to see Eastham back in the team. Some team members were outstanding it was great to see Rafferty and Allen back- they gave their all as usual. Lund back to his excellent best. Syers impressed - what a prospect when he is fully fit.. More of the same please. Thank you to Keith and his Team. Whatever you think of Keith Hill do not forget he took us to the highest position ever
Brilliant to win but even more enjoyable was the way it was won - fast flowing passing football in true Keith Hill Style - gone were the long kicks as in recent games -long may it continue.
I thought that all our Christmases had come at once. I had the pleasure of speaking to him after the meeting and like all our Directors he is passionate about Dale and a fan.
I forgot the train in Cheetham Street The wonderful klunches at the Robin Hood Cannot remember the hardware shop on Yorkshire Street but remember Morris Aladins cave on Toad Lane!
Greenhill School - reunion last Saturday but Dale came first! Standing on the Hill at Spotland changing ends at halftime all the roundabouts on Manchester Road and in the Town Centre full of flowers in Summer and evergreens in Winter curtesy of Rochdale Parks Department Sitting in front of the bowlibng green at Dane Street Making teas at Fieldhouse cc and playing cards in the pavilion after the match Dances at St Lukes Church Deeplish, the Town Hall and the Carlton Regal and Kings Cinemas Beating Coventry I couldnt open the link to the Bus but I immediately thought of the Blue and cream buses Getting off the Number 1 bus from Queensway and walking across the Town Centre to catch a bus up to Spotland and many more before reorganisation and the Metro
I agree I hated going to Accrington for the reasons you have stated and once we started the slide down Leagfue l I could see the conference beckoning. He promised to keep us up in League l and he failed He promiosed us immediate promotion back He then promised return via the play offs Where are we now !!!!!
