Concur

But

This wasnt one bad day
Good few are saying he’s had decent games in our recent run.
I’ve not seen them.
He’s played us into trouble almost every game but we’ve got away with them.

I’ll say no more but it’s a scandal the lack of full back cover we have at the club matches only by the paucity of striker options we’ve had for years.

Watched with my Dad and he was gobsmacked no replay

“That payday would’ve transformed the club” he said…

“The games gone Dad, games gone”

I’d like to pick this to pieces but it actually makes absolutely no sense to me so I don’t know where to start!!

Certain players can prove you wrong.
I was hugely wrong about Willock
Many were wrong about Smyth

Then there’s other players who you just know are garbage
He’ll be shoving nothing down my throat. Confident of that.

What gives me the right?
You do appreciate what industry he’s earning a living in I hope

I’ll give you the one incident that sums up just how shite Gashby is for me.

After he’s basically assisted Leicester to THREE goals.
He’s standing wide right unmarked in their half.
Acres of space and no pressure.
The ball is passed out to him from centre midfield along the ground on a pitch that is a carpet and, don’t forget, he’s in their half with no pressure.

Somehow he contrives to not simply trap the ball on the pitch, under no pressure, but lets it run out for a Leicester throw in.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury; THAT was simply the very last straw and he either needs sending back or being wrapped in gaffer tape and kept in the boot of Nourry’s car.

Total and utter crumbly dog shite

Instrumentals..
at 07:16 11 Jan 2025

Gotta say my absolute number one already posted —- Summer Madness by Kool & The Gang is seminal and my music equivalent of the first Swallow
Closely followed by Love Unlimited Orchestra which is superb.

Coming in at number three would be this ditty

Followed by this absolute chunk of funk

But then there’s so many others of the soul and funk genre like Light of The World numbers and others.

Not even scratching the surface of things like Paul Hardcastle (Rain Forest), Herbie Hancock or vast vast vast amounts of house and trance numbers.

Before I’d go I’d give two honourable mentions to tracks that meant a lot to me growing up.
First up this one which is an instrumental unless you include the “ermmm, waiter?” within it.

Madness and the whole Ska scene were a massive part of my early years and I absolutely loved them as my interest in music that wasn’t MOR took hold.

Then this….

One of my very early memories is this, and other tracks, being played by the man with the finest music taste in the world, on his reel to reel set, my Dad aka Big Dave.
He got me hooked on music and I was fascinated to ear wig in on his convos with his mates about bands like The Who, Joe Brown etc who had played when he was “working the doors” around West London. I was in total awe as a nipper and he still comes out with new tales to this day which have me grinning from ear to ear.

Interesting on the history and thanks for that as I wasn’t aware
Sounds much the same as parts of Greece, Brazil etc

Not wishing to go all Jungle Book but I’ve understood the crassness of humans who think they can control fire.

The single most important thing out of all this is the very best of luck to you and your fellow Angleians no matter their standing, status, wealth or roles in life.
Be safe

Since 1880, average global temperatures have increased by about 1 degrees Celsius (1.7° degrees Fahrenheit). Global temperature is projected to warm by about 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7° degrees Fahrenheit) by 2050 and 2-4 degrees Celsius (3.6-7.2 degrees Fahrenheit) by 2100.

Those bloody medieval bastards in their 4x4’s, using paraffin heaters to keep the old thatched cottages warm whilst jetting off to Ye Olde EyeBeefah for a well earned break with all the other Serfs and Landowners alike

Climate change is a fact
Mother Earth will change and there is not a God fearing thing anyone can do to stop her. Fact.
In just the last 80 or so years we’ve had Hiroshima and Nagasaki, countless smaller and larger nuke tests, Chernobyl and others alongside volcanoes, tsunamis and other natural earth changing events but still Mother Earth turns.
Yet millions and millions of lemmings follow this modern day witchcraft cult that we’re going to kill everything if we turn the boiler on, drive a car or don’t subscribe to Nutty Millibands new green army. Let’s not even consider what we spat up into the atmosphere over the industrial revolution which was minuscule compared to CO2 and sulphur emitted over Jurassic times; and compare that to how clean a lot of industries are now.
If you believe you can do your bit to change the earths temperature then knock yourself out, fair kin play to you. But is it right that you can force your views onto others and belittle those with a different opinion; are you so convinced what you’re being told is right????

I’d sooner concentrate on reduction of waste and rubbish.
What we are doing to our rivers, seas and natural land areas across the globe is disgraceful. Yes I’d agree the fossil industries are also at fault here and their contamination of areas needs further improvement absolutely.

Enough of my waffle… I’m off to stick my fingers in my ears (and this wasn’t really a thread to take down this rabbit hole…. My apologies)

You make an interesting point Re: C Willock

I was totally wrong about him and it is immense credit to the coaches / fitness people at the club at that time the job they did with him.
Sure I read something from Warburton that they had to get into his head and make him believe in himself and from that flowed the hard work and endeavour. He went from a lame duck in my eyes to being a £5Mill player in my thoughts when he was flying before his Wrigleys Spearment Gum hamstrings blew up.

However..... the things Willock had in his favour that Madsen doesn't and never will have are that Chris had pace plus he was / is a London boy and settled off the pitch on an immediate basis; he also cost us buttons comparatively speaking.

I do hope Madsen proves me wrong as did Master Willock

The “who cares?” comment Is quite unpalatable and my sympathy to those who have lost everything, some even their lives.

Having gone through this thread the most shocking thing is nobody has blamed climate change (yet) for this.
As tragic as this, and other “natural” disasters, is; it’s gone on for time memorium and old Mother Earth is continually reinventing herself

Huge respect to the emergency responders and volunteers etc fighting these horrendous fires

New Year transfer window rumours

Sounds good.

Is he versatile as an egg?

I know zero about this fella so thanks for that first hand view.
He sounds like a pint of Northern bitter and going by your scouting he could be one to track but is he pacey???

Let him know about Earls Court, hopefully we can tie him down sport

Madsen was an obvious dud from pretty early on this season
I was hoping they could move him on this window to some Euro league where hide n seek is acceptable; the Turkish leagues probably wouldn’t stand him which is a shame.

It’s better to focus on the lads in the squad doing the business but it saddens me to think of the money going out the door for Madsen, Anderson, Celar and that absolute c-unit Taylor Richards.
Take that dosh and sign Dunne and Kolli longer term and have bundles left to sign a LWB and one other player with pace
