Plymouth…..
at 22:50 12 Mar 2025

Racking up injuries again and as before we just don’t have the cover. We don’t have an A team and a B team, we have an A team and a Z team.

It’s how things now are, just hope other clubs have to start getting their house in order and that will act as a leveller as I think (hope) we’re already ahead in that regard.

It's the same trick as 'subscription'. Everything is fkin' subscription these days. They really cottoned onto that trick.

"it's so you can always have the most up to date version" they claim. Well, smart@arse, I may not want that, I might be happy with it how it is.
I still use a photo editing program called PaintShop Pro 5 that's probably 25+ years old. It does just what I need. I don't need the latest update every 6 months that has a zillion features I'll never use. Why can't I have that choice?

Nothing is done for 'the benefit of the consumer', that's just a smokescreen.
Years ago I said to VM "why can't I just cherry pick the channels I want and you provide a price?" Noooooo..... you have to pick a package and get schit loads of channels you don't want because they are then in control and they spread what they know are the popular channels across different packages so you have to have multiple packages containing about 70% of channels you don't want or will ever watch.

I ditched my VM TV box over a year ago as I hardly used it and have things like Amazon Prime, Netflix and Disney+ instead. That suffices.

As long as teams below us keep losing too it means we have less games to need to get a result out of.

Current form table has us 2nd bottom but Oxford (bottom), Stoke, Preston, Plymouth, Cardiff, Norwich(!), Luton & Derby are still not great either and we have to play four of those. Wins would be great (naturally) but even draws are OK as it keeps them at bay. We lose any of those four and yes, it's squeaky bum time.

Fk that!! I'm with Virgin Media and paying around £25 (IIRC) or maybe slightly less for 350Mbps. Been with them for donkey's years so maybe that's helped. However, maybe your location and lack of alternatives is driving up the price?

NB: nowt to do with Branson anymore, he sold it about 20 years ago.

I think we, as fans, need to be mindful of the injury situation and not go OTT if results don't go our way. The team just needs to, again, get this season over the line to safety.

ah, so it's the captain that's Russian? OK, didn't know that yesterday!

But yes, in the current climate having a ship captained by a Russian and hitting a stationary ship containing fuel for the US military does look suss but proving it's intentional could be hard, if it was.

March was always going to be tough and it's got tougher with injuries.

April is key. We have 5 games we can get at least 8 points from IMO. 52 points should be enough. We finished last season (and that was a crap season) on 56 points. It would be a shame if we had less this season but December-to-February aside, it's been worse.

March was always going to be tough. Two wins in April and we should be ok.

That's quite a leap. Russia has a big naval tradition and not every Russian is a criminal or linked to Putin just in the same way as not every US citizen is a MAGA loving Trumpite or every British person a Johnson/Sunak/Truss fanboy/girl etc etc.

Boats often have crew from all over the world on them, not just from where the boat is registered to/operates from.
If the Kremlin was involved, do you think they'd make it that obvious.

Ditto Bobby Zamora.

Let's put 'that' goal aside..... by and large his record was pretty poor. 12 goals in 83 games.... 1 goal in 7.

IIRC, pretty much all of the four goals (21 games) he got in the 2012/13 PL season were in losing matches so they contributed nothing in terms of points (though, TBF, crap defending is not his problem I guess).

Not good on the whole and certainly not for the huge amount of money he was paid but 'that' goal gives him immunity I guess!

IIRC, Cureton kept being played out wide. IMO he was a fox-in-the-box striker. I was quite excited when we bought him as he had a good record with Bristol Rovers and Reading but only scored 6 goals in 43 games for us.

Does anyone else think the same... that he was played too far wide?

Macauley Bonne in recent years.

Mike Sheron.... 19 goals in 63 games is not too shabby (1 in 3) but hardly the prolific striker we envisaged and certainly not worth what we paid.

Bingo!

By the way, just who are the suggestions aimed at? No one on here can do anything.

I googled it;

“while a suggestion can sometimes be based on an opinion, making a suggestion is not exactly the same as stating an opinion; a suggestion is a proposed course of action or idea, while an opinion is a personal belief or viewpoint about something, which may or may not be accompanied by a suggested action.

Key differences:

Action-oriented:
A suggestion is actively proposing a solution or idea to be considered, whereas an opinion is simply a personal view without necessarily advocating for a specific action.

Open to debate:
While opinions can be debated, a suggestion is often presented as a potential solution to a problem, leaving room for discussion and acceptance or rejection.”

You did not give an opinion, you made a suggestion but you like to sugar coat it as an opinion.

You were suggesting what the manager should do, that’s not an opinion.

One shot is disappointing but that’s all it took in the play off final.
