4 - First rewatch of Alien: Romulus. It's still not very good. I don't think I'll be rewatching it again which is mad given that I've seen the first four combined hundreds of times probably. 3/5
5 - Dark Windows. A mix of You're Next and I Know What You Did Last Summer (but more grown up about it). Pretty slow and very light on the horror elements but I enjoyed it. 3.5/5
6 - Event Horizon. I love space horror shit but EH never really clicked with me before. I liked it this time though. 3.5/5
In work I was chatting to a woman a few years back and an election was coming up and she was chatting some nonsense about foreigners coming over and stealing jobs and this is how the conversation went.
Her - is Gordon Brown blind? Me - just one eye, he's got a glass eye like Peter Falk.

Her - who's Peter Falk? Me - the actor who played Columbo. Her - oh.... .... long pause .....
Me - you know, the TV detective. Her - ...... Me - shabby looking, says 'just one more thing' a lot Her - oh..... .... longer pause......
Her - I thought you meant the traveller. Me - Columbus? He was an Explorer.

Dunne will already be doing alright money-wise and if I was on footballer money, there's no way I'm taking more and then having to listen to that awful Sheffield accent. No point getting another 10k a week if you've got to stab out your own ear drums after a week.
He was meant to be doing a live show in a few months in a town near me and I was considering getting tickets. Small venue though so I guess his star had waned a lot. He was always good on WLIIA. Certainly enjoyed him more than posh John Sessions.
Nobody on this forum cares less about ex-players than me. You leave the club and you're dead to me. But I did notice a bit of Dykes chatter because he scored this rather decent goal.
Fair play to him, that's pretty special. 0 goals in 18 in the league though so I'll keep Frey instead thanks.
I've not been sure about him either. It's good to see the effort but where are the goals and assists? In that position, with his skill, he should be making things happen.
Simmo, I use an app called Letterboxd which lets you record this and even leave scores/reviews if you want. It's really good.
Last year I ended up on 105 films.
Anyway, this year so far.
1 - Prey. The fifth Predator film. It got a lot of unearned praise in 2022 but I thought it was all a bit lame and safe. The CGI wasn't great either. Felt cheap. On rewatching for the first time though it was okay. 3.5/5
2 - Jaws. Never been a big Jaws fan but I caught it on TV (with adverts and everything) and watched it all. It stands up. The film just looks classy and well shot and it's full of great character actors. It drags a bit but there's never been another shark movie as good. 4/5
3 - I Saw The TV Glow. There's something about the look of this film, and some of the acting performances, that hint at this being a good film. The plot never really gets going though, it just sets up things slowly and jumps around never really getting to the point. It was only after the film ended that I read it was about being trans, which I didn't get from the film at all. Pretentious twaddle really but watchable once. Lots of Buffy nods in there for you 90s kids. 2/5
