If they have to excavate that corner like the centre circle then I cannot see it being ready for the owdham game. They need to make an announcement today re the plan of action. If we progress in the F.A. Trophy we may have a home tie in the Quarter Finals.  We still have to play Wolves u21s with potentially at least one further tie in that competition possibly at home depending on the draw. I foresee that we could be playing 2 midweek home league matches to catch up if we have any further postponements. And that will not aid the attempts to compete in the play-offs.

With the agreement of all relevant parties could next Tuesday's game be switched to be Boundary Park and the March 15th return fixture be played at Dale?

No I didn't claIm that it was the match preview for this evening's game. Any 'casual' reading the first two lines could assume that tonight's game was off. I read the first two lines and my heart sank - not another postponement. The date and ko time had been amended but the script was not up-dated. It will be interesting to see if it is up-dated before the ko this evening.

More lazy journalism from the BBC. The match preview for tomorrow's game is the preview written after the postponement in December.

"Rochdale's National League game at home to Boston United has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Heavy rain led to a 10.30 GMT pitch inspection at the Crown Oil Arena, but the match official Stuart Morland deemed the surface unplayable.

Sixth-placed Dale were seeking to close the gap on Oldham, in fifth, and stay ahead of the play-off chasing pack.

The Pilgrims lie second-bottom and five points from safety following their promotion from National League North last season.

Rochdale are due to visit AFC Fylde on Thursday, with Boston hosting play-off chasing Solihull Moors the same afternoon.

A new date for the postponed match will be released in due course."

Two youngish gentlemen in Wimbledon track suit tops in the Directors box. I asked for the name of who they were watching. Claimed thay had just come to watch the game - the most senior wearing a large smile. Could they be scouts perhaps?
