During the game yesterday, I felt he was the one player who was missing; not part of the team; out on his own and contributing very little. For me, while watching the game, I felt that he wasn't reading second play very well and reading the game as he should. I was reminded of why I am so disappointed with his overall contribution since joining us.

When I got home, I watched a full recording of the game and changed my mind. It made me think what his instructions are because he didn't necessarily get stuck in, but appeared to run the centre line and simply distribute to those who offer more attacking options. I also felt that he was instructed to track Sandro and then Parker, and limit their distribution; Keep them at bay and from getting into threatening positions. With the overall team performance, from the back, focused on being hard to beat, maybe he did do a decent job and followed out his instructions.

His contribution to our squad is curious, but then so too is Granero's. Two of the most high profile signings during the summer! T'would be good to have an insight into what the instructions are to players like this. What is their role?

If you measure them against the likes of Faurlin, I suspect his role would be similar, but we do see him getting stuck in to tackles and going for the second play! But does Faurlin and his contribution sometimes leave us vulnerable? I can't make up my mind, but certainly yesterday while watching the game, I found Park to be very frustrating.

Is there anyone left who believes Hughes can turn it around?

"Does anyone on here thing MH could still get us playing and out of trouble? "

Yes, I do.

Commitment from both sets of players! Playing for the club with pride and energy! They all want to play football, unlike our sensitive lot!

I couldn't agree more with you! Hughes will go because the players aren't performing for him! Clearly there is a problem, but that does not resolve any situation where you will find that players don't play for the shirt our the club! They play like precious, fluffy, overpaid, over protected, sensitive deck chair sales assistants!

I realise i'm in the minority, and bar the obvious glaring fact that we haven't win, i thought there were more games than not were we playing some good stuff! I did think we could nip those silly mistakes at the back and start being more clinical with our chances, but no! In come southampton and we all think; here we go; surely we'll win this, and what happens? Some players decide... Actually , i'm not happy! I'm not gonna play! In fact sod this, i really can't be arsed!

Just annoying! I do take your point though!

It’s great to hear someone taking sense amongst all this haze! I still think Hughes is a good manager, however that doesn't deny the fact that something is wrong! After seeing so much effort in other games this season, Saturday was appalling and for me, it looked like the players couldn’t give a shite, except for those who we all know! Players are so protected by their massive contracts, and it’s such a shame that a decent manager can't get anything out of a bunch of overpaid shites!

£9mill for Granero! Sorry, but there were probably league two players on Saturday who performed better then what he earns! And our precious Faurlin....don't get me wrong; I think he's a great player but he should have been playing non league on Saturday! And Cisse... why were our wide players and full backs putting balls into the box from wide positions while others ambled up to the 18 yard box, never mind the 6 yard box!

No pressure, no urgency, no commitment, and no determination! No nothing but a massive pay pack! Ridiculous!

I realise that MH is the one who will pay the price, but that still leaves us with a bunch of over protected, over paid, fickle numpties! Out of those 14 players who took to the field on Saturday, how many were playing for us and the hoops?

Shocking stuff and shame on them!
If we get Arry in, what happens then with a bunch of over protected, over paid, fickle numpties when they decide; sod this?

It will cost the club a fortune to go through the process of getting RD of MH, appoint Arry, getting his players in and we go through the whole thing over again!

The next manager in will be the next manager sacked and so the story goes on! Instability, insecurity, anxiety, uncertainty and no progress! It takes a brave club to believe in what can be done and each and every stakeholder and exec believed in Hughes, and what they sold to him, he believed! The future was looking bright, but then some over paid, non-committed, fickle numpties decide... sod this!

Sort them out Hughes and get up there to Manchester and put in a performance that makes them realise what it should mean to them to wear the hoops for us fans!

I didn’t boo on Saturday, but actually some of those players really deserved it!

Short rant over!

If those injuries didn't happen in the first half, I expect we may have seen Taraabt and/or Hoilet!

Thought Ryan Neilson was immense at the back, but overall a superb team performance! Should be able to build on that perfromance and bring much confidence to the team.

Shame that Johnson and Fabio had to come off. Think if that hadn't happened, we may have seen Hoilet at some stage!

Overall, delighted with the performance

What when he's doing one of those runs which sees him bundle over the ball, give possession away and let Boswinga deal with it!?

T'would appear that the dury is out on the potential for Traore to claim the full back slot for himself in the season ahead! Needs to mature a bit maybe with his defending and his distribution. Good going forward with pace and putting in a decent cross... but can he defend?

Narwich.... Grant Holt gets on my wick and Bradley Johnson's antics last season phissed me right off!

Seeing Foolham go would be nice, but if they didn't I'd love to us do the double on them, with Johnson and Bobby doing a job on their defence!
