Season Tickets 09:31 - May 22 with 2396 views | electricblue | To help the club through this crisis what about if the club offer season tickets for the new season.. I know people will say that we dont know when the new season will start but i think between today and mid september is adequate time for planning to KO a new season... So if the proposed the idea that for a season ticket a buyer pays half the cost in june and the rest when the season starts...... This should help the club and the supporters by not paying it all out in one go....

Season Tickets on 09:35 - May 22 with 2384 views | judd | The club has just got a loan from the council secured against future transfer income. The signals coming out of the club are those of a business in distress and I would be loathe to put a single penny into it.

Season Tickets on 11:25 - May 22 with 2243 views | D_Alien | This topic was fully explored on here just a week or so ago, absolutely no need to resurrect it right now, pending further information from both the EFL and the club As judd indicates, there may also be some questions that need answers. My own would be the rationale behind having the complete pitch renovation undertaken (rather than just a normal pre-season renovation) at this critical financial juncture. If we can afford it, great - let's get it sorted - but can we, given the most recent update regarding our finances? If the club signed up to a complete renovation which they now can't prevent from going ahead for contractual reasons, that's understandable - the club need to say so. These questions were posed not long since, so they'll be aware it's something of particular concern to the fans. They also had the opportunity to make this clear during the latest communication via the Trust, but chose not to do so. Is there commercial sensitivity involved, or some other sensitivity? Whatever, it's now being discussed I'm as fully behind the efforts of the Board to keep us afloat during these most difficult of times as anyone else, and we have no real indication of when future income via live football will happen. If the club expect fans to help with this situation, the least they can do is keep us as fully informed as possible, and where this isn't possible, at least say so rather than taking for granted that we'll all happily just wait for the outcome. We've never done that, and for good reason [Post edited 22 May 2020 11:41]

Season Tickets on 15:43 - May 22 with 2106 views | smaclad1 | Its a difficult one. Had the club got a commercial loan we would be none the wiser - but dealing with a Council (especially if the punters know where to look!) is a slightly different proposition. The club had announced confirmed plans for the pitch and a new ticketing system which they wouldn't have done had they not already signed on the dotted line. Maybe there were penalty clauses involved? Do they risk those clauses and a potential damage to our business reputation, or do they get the club in as best a position as possible to meet the challenge when football starts again? Who knows what the best possible solution is in these circumstances - possibly not even those who made the decision given they can only truly plan ahead based on Boris' periodic Sunday evening pronouncements. I get the point about wanting to support the club thro buying some form of season ticket - we covered the fact that you hold an affiliation to a club that you don't to an ordinary company. But at the end of the day, it's a company not a charity - and there are plenty of charities around at the moment who would appreciate any spare hard earned that you might have.

That is, of course, if the club don’t already intend to do this, which they themselves have been equally as consistent around in the last couple of months. Either way, that clarity is both necessary and undoubtedly bound to be forthcoming based on what we have come to expect.

The club will have had no choice on the financing issue. Banks do not lend commercially to football clubs. The pitch renovations will have been thought through and budgeted for. The delay of next season is timing; there will be a next season but the question is when. The loss of the unplayed games is a real loss and money that would have been budgeted for that is not now coming into the club. On the plus side; there are only minimal player wage commitments after 30 June and every club across the UK is in the same boat. There is also the question of the AGM and EGM to be reconvened. I don't see why the club cannot announce season ticket prices for the next campaign. There are 23 homes games planned by the EFL for League 1 next season and we will be a League 1 club. The only question is when; the pricing ambitions cannot and should not be secret or a suprise when they are announced.

But how many of those 23 games will be played behind closed doors?

Do you honestly think that anything that was "budgeted and thought through" in January, when the pitch renovations were announced at the forum, still applies?

Season Tickets on 19:49 - May 22 with 1861 views | Plattyswrinklynuts | Tbf I don’t think there is a better time to do the pitch renovations (hopefully properly this time)! The pitch has had an extended period of non use, albeit unintentionally. Borrowing costs are at an all time low in terms of interest repayments & if Dale of all clubs with their financial prudence can’t access funds then the whole game is screwed. At least the job gets done, hopefully it’ll last for several seasons & it’s one less recurring problem. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yes. Unless I have missed something, the Directors running the club, the budgeting and the thinking through and who announced the pitch renovations, electronic turnstiles and the like are still running the club. The Chairman hasn't changed either. The collective Board were supportive of these ventures before hand and unless otherwise to be announced still appear to be.

I don't know but I don't see how that can't be indicated in an announcement. "On the basis that all 23 games are played, a Season Ticket would cost £x" They could even note "a pro-rate refund would apply for games played behind closed doors"

No need for a refund, simply say the season ticket covers the next 23 home games played with fans present, whenever those 23 games might be played.

Yes I think you might've missed something... To be clear: if there was a financial advantage in having the pitch renovations signed and sealed when they were, or even to ensure we'd get them done against competition for the services of the company involved, i doubt anyone would do anything but praise the Board for their foresight My point, made earlier in the thread, is that if this is the case, the Board should be upfront with the fans so it's clear to all of us that when the ST prices are made known, and requests to buy early are made, we know what the facts are In the meantime, the club have had to secure funding to tide it over (hopefully) which once again puts the ownership of the ground into the mix. In the light of this, my own budget is being carefully thought through as to whether i can risk an outlay on a ST that may entitle me to look at a well-drained playing surface with no action on it Your own point about the AGM/EGM simply reinforces my own, in that leaving fans guessing whilst demanding they fork out during a time of unprecedented uncertainty (the thing you might've missed) just isn't on

Season Tickets on 11:12 - May 23 with 1610 views | Dalenet | The staff are all furloughed right now and will be as long as the Govt allows them to be or the football returns. Given that is the case there wouldn't be anybody at the club to take season ticket monies. I wouldn't be prepared to stump up anything until it was clear that football was likely to start. I expect the FL will require some kind of promise to fans that refunds will be due if next season has to be stopped due to a second (or third) wave or sales will suffer. That doesn't mean that the club shouldn't think about ways to extract cash from us as soon as there is light at the end of the tunnel. They will need to be creative because I fear we will have lost some fans for good. Of course with all of the internet shopping we have all been doing we could have raised £10k plus between us for free for the Trust under Easyfundraising. Imagine how 6 months of that could be used to help the club and it wouldn't cost anybody a penny.
Season Tickets on 11:25 - May 24 with 1365 views | ncfc_chalky | Couldn't clubs do a deal with iFollow in that you buy a season ticket and if it's playsd behind closed doors you still can watch the game? Just a thought

Season Tickets on 12:59 - May 24 with 1284 views | NorthernDale | Chalky, that is a good idea and yes I would look at any offer the club put forward, because it could be the difference between having a club to support and not having a team to support.
