The north bank has become a bit of a myth amongst our own supporters. The level of abuse handed out to some of our players was awful to witness at times.
Joao Moreira, Michael Howard, Jason Price and Steve Watkin are the ones that stand out. The level of abuse clearly impacted on their game and all looked frightened to touch it at times. |
Oh I agree with that. Our support disgusts me quite a lot of times and has done always. I just think its a new low when one of our boys gets carded and there's a clap, especially during a competitive game and especially now we're in the Premier League, the era you mention with the players listed, we were anything but competitive.

I've never felt so disenfranchised from my own support than when I heard the hundred or so clap that.
I suppose that goes with the territory these days, I grew up on the North Bank, it wouldn’t have happened there.
I wish we could just leave this behind, do what Alec Ferguson would do, protect our boys, no matter what. |
A hundred or so? thats one of lifes great under estimations, it was heard around the ground
Nobody is saying Chico is a bad player but his writing around is just plain embarrassing to watch.
