Match Thread on 16:59 - Oct 26 with 1506 views | HantsR | Shouldn't have been a pen but we brought it on ourselves; poor passing (think they all caught the disease from Henry), giving ball away in dangerous places, Hoilett dispossessed too easily. Burnley never letting us settle in our own half - result midfield ineffective and forwards got zero service. Barton at least looked he was trying.

Match Thread on 17:00 - Oct 26 with 1478 views | QPRDave | We have one of the deadliest strikers in this division, and he's going missing in games through lack of service. We need to play to his strengths like Burnley did
Match Thread on 17:00 - Oct 26 with 1470 views | adhoc_qpr | Look at most pre match predictions on here and loads sawfeared this was coming - Harry just sat slack jawed and watched until we were already losing and then brought on bloody Jenas!

That loss down to harry's tactic's we went for a draw, we are better than that, imo !!
Match Thread on 17:01 - Oct 26 with 1442 views | kensalriser | No can seriously content Burnley aren't a decent side. Good keeper, resolute defence, excellent strike partnership. They showed us how it's done. Nothing flukey about their position.

Fûcking bolløcks! Been avoiding the score while dining with family today and now suitably annoyed! We had to lose sometime and after the Millwall game it was clear we would lose this one and lose the pace at the top. How will we respond - that is the question. It's a marathon not a sprint, no one wins the league in October etc blah blah blah. [Post edited 26 Oct 2013 17:04]

Agree with this. Had us down for a win today. Have to say that Chevanton and Austin should start. We are asking Austin to do way too much on his own.

Yes! No way we should have gone there and looked toothless in attack. Someone else has mentioned our pass completion rate........ however low it was, most of the completed ones were backwards!!

Match Thread on 17:03 - Oct 26 with 1383 views | Hunterhoop | Sure we'll have someone come on and tell everyone to "not over react". It will be the same people who said not to worry about not having played teams in the top half yet. We have been stuck in 2nd gear ever since the over reaction to the Boro win/performance. We need to wake up, smell the coffee and attack with vigour and work much much harder to close down. The midfield seem to think they're just so much better than the oppo they don't need to try as hard or play the attacking pass, instead they just turn back and play it back to Dunne. We seem to believe we only need to score 1 or 2 each game. We need the attitude that we need to score 3 or 4.

For all the pretty passing, what did it achieve? One poxy shot on target the entire game.

Match Thread on 17:06 - Oct 26 with 1340 views | RANGERS4EVER | Didn't think I would be annoyed at losing. We can't win them all and a are still in a good position. But it was the fact that it was to those smug tw*ts Burnley. Horrible fans who think they all that for having one good half a season. Don't like them at all. Also the fact at how negative we are. Ridiculous tactics

Match Thread on 17:06 - Oct 26 with 1333 views | qprwpg | We were 2nd best this game to everything. Now we're 3rd best in the league. First loss of the season hurts. A lot.

Right we're unbeaten till today and you want rid of a player that has been nothing short of brilliant this season. Also the manager needs a kick up the arse for finally losing our unbeaten record. True. We do have a game in hand and we had to lose sometime. I absolutely thought we would win today but it shows that if you shackle Austin that we cut off any real chance of scoring. If they play him and Chevanton from the start that may change rapidly.

I thought we would lose today, I had us down for a 2-1 loss and we weren't able to score, shame but as long as this isn't a change of tide for QPR then no worries, but if this is the start of the end then looking back people can only say we won when we played badly and then got found out. Plenty of time to to resume the lucky wins but let's see, this might be lesson learnt.

The strange thing is; that even with Austin's extraordinary record for Burnley, our record without him (even whilst he was still with us) is significantly better. Adjusting our play to suit Austin may well have caused us problems, in spite of the goals. Playing him in a two and not just trying to get his head alone onto the end of a hoof may well work. He is a poacher like Jordan Rhodes so a second man up front should in theory be beneficial to Austin.

Match Thread on 16:58 - Oct 26 by DesertBoot | Long way to go but found out big time today. We've strolled it against poor sides thus far and couldn't up our game today. Burnley played with a tempo and although the goals came late you could never see us scoring until Chevanton started to make things happen. Arguably a must win at Wigan now. |
Why is Wigan must win? | | | |
