It was a reserve and trialist team, lets not get too excited.

Will the players be attending the family fun day if they are playing against Liverpool today ?

Cant be in two places at once , unless the Liverpool game is at Spotland.

Thanks for the clarification, just picked it up from the rather disturbing ' Liverpool' thread below.

Think the club shop should be open today. There will, hopefully, be quite a few people passing by. And with it being necessary to have the new kit to get in on the photo, people might buy a shirt (or expect to be able to buy) on the day. I doubt it will be open though. Could miss a trick there.
Maybe they have thought ahead and will have a stall.

Good news.

Was good to see a good turnout and quite a few people who weren't Dale fans.

The wait for the players to get back from Liverpool meant the team photo and training didn't start til later than was presumably planned, but a good number of fans took part in the big picture.

A bit annoying to see young kids wearing shirts with 'Rooney', 'Messi', 'Chichuarito' enjoying a Dale fun day. Have their parents no brains ? Even a Giggle Lane shirt could be spotted inside the ground !! Let's hope they were all 'converted' by their day out.

Was a decent turn out, some good ideas and entertainments for kids and the League Two trophy made its' only likely appearance at Spotland this season, courtesy of NPower.

As ever, Dale being Dale, no pies left by 1.30 and the chocolate being given away to the kids had a sell-by date of 12th July 2012. Oh well.............

I got told that the team picture etc was delayed due to the management heading to hospital with Reece Gray.

Does anyone know where were Desmond and Dale the Dragon today??

Your'e probably right about the delay being due to a hospital visit. As for Desmond & Dale, your guess is as good as anyone else's.

I think they should have been there. Perhaps they were, but without costumes !!??

A few kids were asking about Desmond.

Suppose with or without the injury all the pictures would have taken place when they did as they wouldn't have left Liverpool much before 12.45-1 (if the match had gone 90mins.)
