just because you have spent loads of money why does that mean it should be cheaper? as mentioned £11 per home game is decent. whilst were on the subject of spending money, why did you think you could get in to gary jones' dinner party thing for free? and what was it you said " i've spent a fortune watching Rochdale, home and away, i should not have to pay for this" what makes you so special? .why dont you save your money from going to non-league games or what ever it is you decide to do with your self

Nothing just another number to our attendences at Spotland and i will be rethinking things after this season and i will be at Chinese Night and the day i rung for a ticket for the Testermonal Dinner apparently it had sold out which were a major let down. I gotta admit it were great seeing us beat Preston at Deepdale but what happened afetrwards were out of order by the people involved i apologised and explained my suitation to Mr_Fright_Night day after although certain people from that night havent given me chance to explain but i think i did show myself up but people need to stop living back it 2011 its a fresh year

Is that the same year you hit the tram?

Move along swiftly, tazbot

Any money that's come your way has originated from someone else working to earn a living, paying their taxes and paying fares on public transport

I don't want to know about your injuries, and I couldn't care less how much compo you got, but don't go parading your sources of income on here as though they were "earned".

HK why even critisize i'm starting to think your jealous that i actually make some of these games

I didn't mention this here as its not me, however, tazzy I feel after this comment I need to clarify something with you. You may or may not know this but I was ran over when I was 14 and was hospitalised for 3 weeks, is that near death enough for you? This has also left me disabled, again enough for your approval?

So i could have done like you have done, carp on about it, play for sympathy etc. but i decided to continue with my life and progress and your right, i don't make many games, which i am gutted about and there may be some jealousy. But the reason i don't make many games anymore is because i decided to go out get a good degree and a good job, this job requires me to live in london and work long hours, so i make as many games as possible while paying taxes for you to get your benefits so you can go to every home and away game. So if i am peeved about your whinging that is the reason. Jealousy, anger, call it what you will but getting hit by a f*cking tram does not give you license to behave like a f*ckwit.

Just to add, I am not looking for sympathy with the above comment just putting tazbot here factually aware of circumstances that may make me a little annoyed at his behaviour.

Well you'd understand my current suitation and not be so quick to critisize me especially me having 3 breaks in 1 go it takes time for stuff like that to heel proper. So why critisize about what i get plus your probably on i'd say 16x what i had to budget per week so why moan at me HK? i know people who go Dale who sign on but i dont see you having ago at them? plus with my suitation i have no choice at the minute but to follow the doctors and physio's orders in order to get my leg back to normal

It does take a long time to heal, if it heals fully at all, i wasn't that fortunate.

I criticize you because you are the one complaining how its ridiculous to charge x, you can't afford it, you go to almost every away game, etc. and you can afford all this because you are on the dole. I don't see other people on here complaining about the price of getting to dale then spending money going to away games (which is ticket + travel) and going to non league games as well. You can't have it all!

i also think you play on this accident way too much, it sounds terrible, i have no doubt it was but move on for frig sake, if every person who had an accident behaved like you, god help us. Its a convenient excuse for you to throw at people for your ridiculous behaviout and quite frankly its pathetic. No one said you had to wallow in misery about it, you chose that option.

Can we ignore prices in the Sandy. It's a tired old stand which many new fans wouldn't return to after experiencing it's woeful views. Use the Pearl Street or Main Stand prices.

I don't plan on renewing. This town is on its arse and the club should be bringing locals to it, not pushing them away. The attitude of going to the Well of ye olde dependable lives strong.

If the discussion is on price, then you cannot ignore the sandy or we may as well just use main stand prices (for record I'd have considered making the whole ground one entrance fee). It's not the best stand in the world, but is certainly
Comparable with the sort of grounds our admissions prices with.

The Sandy is there for a reason, and always should be. Exeter City built a brand new terraced Big Bank for the same reason.

Also, along with Col's £11 a game, which is remarkable value for modern day, rip off foottball, I bet some there's Conference teams charge more than us, so how's that for value.
Could be one for Rochdale Fans United, as I obviously have to go to work, and haven't got time for trawling forums

Could save lots of money by ditching away games.
I'd rather we charged enough, and built a squad to gain promotion again.
I like to think we're a L1 club now having a temporary L2 break, rather than what i've been accustomed to for the last 25 years

Well said Ken. £333(£308) is too much for league 2 football - most of the usual people will still pay of course - Honestly cant see many paying £18 - £20 on the day v the likes of Burton,Wimbledon or Aldershot.

You might well be entitled to all your benefits, Tazzy, but aren't they supposed to cover essential living expenses and not simply be used for leisure activities?

Yeah, I know you buy your own bread at cheap prices (you told me on Facebook), but there are so many other things you don't have to shell out for that the rest of us do.

Going to football is an expensive luxury and one a lot of people simply can't afford at the same level that you do.

I truly hope your legs get better and that all the medical help you get does the job, although standing up in seated areas at games, jumping up and down as you chant, isn't going to speed up the process.

The season tickets are good value if you break it down to price per game. Instead of budgeting for away games - which doesn't contribute any money to Dale - why don't you budget for a season ticket instead?

Just think, your overnight stops this season might have paid for your season ticket by now.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

I'd argue that the club have rewarded supporters for last putting up with last season with the £25 discount for season tickets. It'll cost me a few pence more than £250 is less than £11 a game. I'd wager there won't be many clubs in league two offering season tickets as cheap as that.

The £25 discount acts like a no claims bonus, rewarding fans for coming back every season and the club should be applauded for retaining season ticket holders in this way.

Agree with that, its a bit of a "Hit" having to pay all at once but at least its out of the way. I am looking forward to next season already and cant wait to see the back of a lot of the current squad.

New faces next season, with a different attitude. Not suggesting we are wealthy by any stretch of the imagination but there is no reason why we cant be pushing in the top half of league two and striving for the play offs.

The club is in decent health and its not all doom and gloom, this season has been a disaster from the start though. Anyway, a bit of a more even playing field next term and buying a ST will also help the club.

Tazzy, we all have to cut our cloth when it comes to spending money on luxuries (watching live football is a luxury), i have worked since the age of 15 and last season for the first time ever i made conscious decision to pick and choose which away games i attended with my son.

I couldnt justify to my mrs the amount of money i was spending to attend away games, bearing in mind i also buy two season tickets every season. For a lot of us football isnt our only vice neither, i have loads of other interests all of which cost a lot of money.

So at the end of the day Tazzy why not limit your away trips to North of Birmingham which we did this season (apart from Aldershot) and keep the savings in a jar to help pay for next years season ticket. The holy grail are the home games, that should be the priority !!

Stop talking about that to elicit a cheap bit of pathos, it won't work. I could tell you stories about some of the bad experiences I've been through that'd make you weep, and I'd wager 80% of the people on this board could too. We merely choose not to keep going on about it.

Agree with what you are saying. They should be going the extra mile to look after Exiles.

I'd love to know what incentive the club think there is there for Exiles to get a County Season ticket?

At the cheapest level, even the cost per game is £13.20 on the season ticket- a massive £1.80 saving on the pay on the gate of £15 - offset by the significant travel costs of getting at least a 100 mile round trip.

As a example, I've lived in London for the last three seasons and in the 2009/10 season I had a County Season ticket and did 13 home games - 10 on the county ticket and 3 pay on the gate.

For 2010/11 I didn't renew - I couldn't understand why I didn't get the offers a full season ticket holder did or even part of them - so I decided I'd pick my home games and consequently only did five home games.

For 2011/12 I'm doing my first home game of the season on Saturday. The lack of ticket, travel cost plus performances has diminished the desire to do a 400 mile round trip

When as the club you add in the lost revenue from me (club shop, pies, TVOS etc) the club has lost circa £325 a year of income from just me compared to the 2009/10 season.

Multiply that by the number of exiles that are out there and it's got to be worth one free burger?

From one Point of view, the exiles get a disproportionate discount in their favour. You buy the full 23 games and you get close to a 20% discount. You buy 10 games and that discount is 12%, which on a 'the more you buy, the bigger discount you get' certainly suggests in favour to the exiles.

Obviously, other factors come into play but should the club be selling ten game season tickets at Xmas, you'd assume they'd have to sell them at the same price the exiles were sold their ten game tickets. Clearly there's no perfect solution but I don't think the balance is a million times out, and there's few clubs of any where the club and the trust do as much for exiles.

I take the point about the vouchers but they're just gimmicks and I reckon I've got most of mine still unused, and I'm sure am not the only one.
