Given that there is a choice of sitting down the side of the pitch or standing behind the goal on Wednesday night where are people planning to watch the game from?

Another toothless display, we are so dull. Feels like the play offs are fading with Barnet lying in wait.

McNulty Out

Poll: How many season tickets will we sell for next season

We created enough penalty-box entries to win two matches in that second half — but sadly, we didn’t convert any. Mainly because we have grown incredibly shot shy. This is a major problem area now, and it needs fixing. The longer we went without converting, the more Halifax remained in the game. Waller saved our skin with that crucial penalty stop, and Beckwith’s embarrassment along with it.

But, let’s face it, that wasn’t good enough overall. Barnet next and that top seven is looking more distant with each game. It’s going to take a change to propel us there - either to the system or some external help up front.

Proven goalscorer coming on earlier than 4 minutes to go would help, hendersons legs can go longer than that im sure.

I’ve no problem with our approach play, or what others call tippy-happy football - at the end of the day, it led to so many penalty-box entries tonight. My issue is what happens then. No one is there to tuck the chances away, or worse, someone is there but seems afraid to. And instead we go to the side or backwards. It needs sorting or we will go nowhere.

And to be honest, if they can't, he shouldn't be in the squad.

Watching on DAZN, it's a round trip of 100 miles to the Shay......not on a freezing night. Besides I haven't been a lad for 50+++++years.

Can you have a word with the commentator, keeps referring to Sam Walker in goal and William Hogan.

What do you think so far?

Bit difficult to talk to the commentators from behind the goal about 100 yards away!

Play-offs are a pipe dream.
1 win in the last 6 games in the league, 1 goal scored in the league in the last 4 games and months since we had a performance worth watching.
There is simply no fun or enjoyment in watching us anymore.

Under Hill we had no fear football
Under McNulty we have no idea, no shots, no goals, no plan b and no chance of getting out of the awful league.
They could make season tickets free next season and I still wouldn’t get one if McNulty is still in charge and Gauge still on the board.

Poll: Now the club has refused to move on sesaon ticket prices what will you now do?

Perhaps I'm being a romantic but Hendo still shows that he has more football intelligence than Mitchell and Rodney in his sparse cameo roles for me. It's baffling that McNulty is restricting his time on the pitch but then most stuff that McNulty does baffles me.

No points or prizes for penalty box entries, unfortunately. Across football more time than ever before is spent in penalty areas, it's not really a useful marker of a performance anymore.

All day long he has ,pace he hasnt but neither have both of them but he has proven class in front of goal ,give him 20/25 minutes to bust a gut for us .
Dont know the stats about last 15 minute goals with or without him sorry last 5 minutes.
we are 10th and 9th in form stats on flashscore ,guess thats where we will end on current form.
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result ,we all know Einsteins thoughts on this.

I’m saying our play got us into positions from which we should have scored (the positive) and from there we didn’t capitalise on this (the negative). It’s the latter that we need to fix. Nothing more complex than that, really.

His runs are a joy to watch at a time when there’s not much else joyful about in the last third. If anything he’s getting better year on year with his movement and it’s getting ridiculous how little he’s being used.

There was one run tonight that should have won us the game, but Barlow didn’t get his head up and went in the opposite direction.

We’re meandering towards the end of the season right now. The manager has to change that, pressure is on. Big time.

How many saves have opposition keepers had to make in the last 5 games? 4 or 5 at the most? Pitiful really - you just aren't going to win games or score enough goals playing this way.

I’ve just noticed that the “Halifax Courier” has referred to the Dale keeper as “Walker” which makes me suspect that theprinted teamsheet provided for the media might be incorrect in the first place?

There were no chances to tuck away, we created nothing and over the ninety minutes we didn't invade the penalty area enough. It was another toothless display and Halifax were there for the taking. We need a new manager i think.

I disagree, TS. In that second half we were in and around their box time and time again. Balls were flashed across the face of goal (with no one there to get on the end of them), or space opened up but no one elected to shoot. That’s the problem and it’s a big one right now. Our inability to kill the game allowed Halifax to remain interested and, consequently, a threat.

Looking critically at the past two games, we should have had six points and it’s only by the grace of Waller that we have two instead of one.

Yes, should definitely have had six points. I thought we played well at Southend but never looked like scoring tonight.

Otherwise engaged tonight, so haven't been to or seen the game. The record shows our defence is sound. Messages from friends and what I read on here are so much in agreement. Shot shy, toothless up front, pass pass pass pass pass pass, nothing. There is also pass sideways, pass sideways, pass sideways, pass backwards, pass sideways, pass backwards. Nothing. Repeat ad infinitum.
This has been the way for so many games this season. It's boring, ineffectual and drains enthusiasm from lifelong fans. It was said at the last Fans Forum, we as fans need to play our part to encourage better attendances. Agreed. We won't lie that bad football is good to encourage family and friends to watch. Project 5000 is not going to happen as it stands. We need to be able to go into the local, club, workplace etc, and sell great football. What we see is Project 500 football.
Change the football or change the manager if he can't change it. We can't sell what we are seeing now. Jim's excuse of our goalscoring failure(s) in the post-match tonight is awful.
Thank you Sam Waller.

......we try to walk the ball in like Arsenal did a few seasons ago, but we over do it and end up loosing the initiative. And our shooting from outside the box is woeful.

We used to say"have a dip" and you might just get lucky with a ricoshet or a deflection. Create a tiny bit of chaos.

The Yeovil performance, just before the Fans Forum was worth watching but that now stands as a stark reminder of McNulty's inability to produce anything like the kind of consistency required of a team more than capable of a playoff place

He's now being seen as the hindrance to the club's ambitions he threatened to be, right from the outset

It's pretty damned useless anyone saying "we need to sort our attempts on goal out" when the person responsible for us being so abject in the box is still in charge

It's impossible to sell this style of play. It's like going to a dry pub - what's the point? Entertainment is the ONLY point to be respected, win, lose or draw

16 league games this season when we have scored 1 or less goals.

Astonishing!!

Hendo the shining light last night how he is only being deployed in this 5 minute cameo role beggars belief.

Halifax not great…. Dale no better.!

Goals = playoffs not X stats.

Barnet have SCORED 66 - Dale 27 less…
