Given the current "mess" we appear to be in and the lack of football knowledge at our senior leadership level should Coleman approach Curt for some assistance

I'm not talking about the coaching side..more as a consultant Director of Football, helping to select Williams replacement as this looks like the course the fanbase wants and with the recruitment of players...

I'm not suggesting Curt gets involved with Williams.
Much has been said of the lack of knowledge of the EFL and our clubs past and dna at board level.
It is said Coleman is running around almost headless chicken like wearing many hats trying to take us forward at low cost.
Curt could offer some advice on Williams' replacement.....potential candidates, and possible player targets.
I wouldn't expect Curt woukd want the involvement of sorting the onfield issues at the coalface...he retired from that a while ago and since has won a battle with cancer

I know but I'm not suggesting him dealing with Williams but as a guide to getting the right manager next time round

No. Absolutely not!!
Either get an experienced director of football in or get a Sports Consultancy to do it for a period. Have them scour the globe for options, run the analysis on how they would fit with the structure of the club and the players available.
The club should have moved on from the days of a bunch of blokes in a pub thinking up names over a few pints

A sports consultancy would cost a lot of money....

I would say the best judge of a good manager is a good manager. When they watch a game they see how a team is set up and how a manager reacts to the changes in the game particularly substitutions. If you have contacts in the game use these contacts. If you haven't you shouldn't be running a football club.

Nowhere near what we were paying a Director of Football as it would be only when required.
They'd have an up to date, and in depth view of the market

Also have a vested interest in getting clients placed.

Why not try Ash, Rangel, Leon or somebody from our glory years ?
Surely must have learned something.

Not Monk though, he is a cock.

I think Swansea is stuck in a Martin ball tactical Cul de sac. Going forward I do not see what he is trying to do. Swansea can score beautifully goals once in a blue moon.

Why hasn't any director of football stayed at the club for a long period - to create some stability?

They have all come and gone pretty quickly under the owners since 2016.....

In business with a certain Mr Bound I heard and another can't remember the third persons name but the business is thriving apparently.

Good luck to Curt and the other two.

Keith is alluding to health matters though Curt was looking good at half time presenting a shirt to Nigel Dalling as tonight marked the 50th anniversary of his appearance as the youngest player to play for us.

Coleman should be considering his own position as Chairman, or certainly the other owners should. The club is a shambles off the pitch as well as on. Clearly not up to the job

The balance of leadership off the field is a real worry.
We have no-one with real football experience guiding the American decision makers.
Without this we will fumble from one mistake to another.
I have no faith in their appointments of players or another manager.
We need a strong character with a strong understanding of the club to guide the chairman in these difficult and crucial times.

My daughter as you know has terminal cancer, she looks great as well. Believe it or not she goes out at night too.

I’m not alluding to anything other than he he hasn’t got the time. Make of it what you will.
