Done some asking and Oli McBurnie is most certainly up for a loan back to the UK this window. I’ve been told four Championship clubs are interested. This will all fall on the fee’s involved plus he is on in the region of €36,000 a week. Big numbers but we know how these things can be negotiated.

Do we have the money ?
Yes.

P&S will need to be positive and only the club really know where we are with that at this moment in time, It won’t be massively healthy. Oli has played fourteen games for Las Palmas this season with no return. He has never been a prolific striker, but could he settle into Luke’s team ?

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

I would add, after the pass forward make sure the passer is in a position to help the recipient of the pass especially if he has someone on his back. Movement when needed on and off the ball is essential, it seems at times that once the pass has been made the job has been done and players sit back and admire their handy work.

Absolutely, the use of "triangles" has disappeared from our game but was integral to how we played when we were at our best. It is physically and technically more demanding though, which probably goes some way in explaining why we haven't had success in recreating it.

But we have had success doing it Ronald, Key and Franco worked well also using their rotation to make sure we kept our defensive set up as we did against QPR but it is about doing it as a method of driving forward not keeping slow possession getting us out of danger not putting us in danger.
We have seen glimpses of it being done but not as often going forward in a purposeful way.

since no new signing been spotted in rossies I did a bit of scouting in the 0 0 benidorm game last night. Their number 7 looked good but he couldn't shoot so they took him off.

We seem to use "triangles" more when we try to break the press in our own half than we do in attacking positions. In attack it often doesn't work because our technical ability isn't quite there. Of course, even in our own half our limitations with the tactic has led to more than the odd goal.

Looking at other transfer business, I see that Burnley have signed JJ Shelvey. Did we miss a trick?

Can't get that midfield right to enable in Luke's word a successful "Transition" from defence to attack where he has said is our problem area lies.

Our midfield is really weak and immobile and add to that a tactically inept manager and you end up with the stodgy mess we often witness especially in recent times. It’s his job to work out how to get that transition right and to work on it on the training pitch but it firstly involves how the team is set up without the ball not just the midfield to make it work and that goes back to the manager and his coaches.

Wrong place to try something in a way that is being done slowly and doesn't get you up the park quickly.

My patience was wearing thin overall before WBA but I was open to being persuaded. I knew then that he was tactically weak and one directional and that he played the same way regardless of the opposition.

These last few games have proved me right and there’s no way back for him as far as I’m concerned.

I have been bored for a while well before West Brom.
It's all to predictable and slow.

It's a continuation of Russ Martin only worse

Sick of watching posession for posession sake especially when we are getting trounced as well.
