How we get our games called off - see below email from Hornets:
The club can confirm that the upcoming 1895 Cup first preliminary round tie between Rochdale Hornets and Cornwall will be played at Rochdale Mayfield.
The fixture will take place on Saturday 1 February (3pm kick-off).
This decision has been made after consultation with Rochdale AFC, who welcome National League rivals Oldham to the Crown Oil Arena on the following Tuesday night.
To ensure the pitch can remain in the best possible condition for both that fixture and the upcoming Betfred League 1 campaign, the tie has been switched to Rochdale Mayfield.
Club officials from Rochdale Hornets and Rochdale Mayfield recently held positive talks concerning the future development of rugby league in the borough.
Discussions took place to help consolidate our improved relationship, and a commitment was made from both clubs to work collaboratively whenever possible - this venue change being a prime example of that.
We thank both Cornwall and Rochdale Mayfield for their cooperation.
The 1895 Cup fixture will form part of a wider day of events at Rochdale Mayfield, with further details to be announced in due course.
The winners of the game will go on to face Swinton Lions in the next round.
So, it's bound to be off if Mitchell isn't fit. |  |

Hi. I don't know why you continue to react to this K character! Having said that,! am one of the people you refer to and I must admit, it is hard to forget his behaviour. At the start of covid, I was sitting here in my lounge watching Dale play at Charlton. I made a comment on here and for some ridiculous reason he jumped to the conclusion that I was at the game!! Not only that, but he made up a further accusation that I do not wish to mention. Then in the weeks following, he and his sidekick at the time made up more ridiculous stories about me. I know this seems incredible, but one of them was that it would be good if I were to be thrown on a bonfire!!
He will deny all this of course, and I can't be bothered to look up the posts from years ago to prove him wrong. I very rarely post on here now. I also very rarely go to the Dale, despite having been a season ticket holder for many years - admittedly though that is mainly due to the football served up rarher than the bad taste I still have from this character's comments. I was watching on ifollow and it didn't take a genius to work out that there was another game taking place on a nearby pitch. In fact, one would have to be pretty slow on the uptake not to realise that this was the case.
Quite apart from the fact that you have put 2 and 2 together and got 156, what I can't understand is why someone would carry out an investigation into a total stranger who has simply taken the trouble to provide an answer to the opening post. Totally weird.
By the way, I'm guessing that fans were not allowed at the game.
I shall now return you to the ignored list, together with your sidekick.. It annoyed me having to temporarily remove you from it in order to respond to your stupidity.
