It's as if an element of shape-shifting has been allowed to begin

Might well be we've seen the last of Max Taylor in a Dale shirt

I guess Jim made his mind up on Taylor after he was at fault for both first half goals at Aldershot. Hooked at half time and barely sighted since.

It’s NL signing deadline day this Thursday.
From what I can gather Solihull have 13 fit players and are due to play four games in ten days.

Taylor needs games and hasn't had any real opportunity to have a run in his favoured RHS position because EEL has been more or less ever present. In his cameo on Saturday, playing on the right was, I thought he looked decent and his long throw was useful under the circumstances.
He has some pedigree but lost his way with his cancer problems maybe a few games and a different voice in his ear will do him good.

I think he’s a decent old fashioned centre half but perhaps not best suited to the type of football BJ likes to play.

I think that's probably being a bit kind on Taylor using his recent games, he's never really filled me with confidence for a long while, he's not bad to throw on as a "body" for the last 10 maybe to try and close a game down but shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11 for me.

Let's not dress this up, he's not very good. He's only here due to two bizarre contract extensions from Stockdale.

He's weak for a centre half and an accident waiting to happen with the ball at his feet. In all the game's he's played he's always looked like he had a mistake in him because he's never 'switched on'.

He's done his best work for us in the opposing area, popping up with a few goals.

That's the last we've seen of him and I'm thankful for that.

I'd like to wish Max the very best wishes. Thanks for all you gave when wearing a Dale shirt. I hope you go on to have the best career you can have.

Would like to reiterate that. A wholehearted player who did his best during a very difficult period for the club. There’s ability there and we’ve seen it at times including in the games over the festive period.

The type of defender Keith Hill might have made into a saleable asset. Right club, wrong era.
