Hi everyone, long time lurker...don't think I have posted before. Anyone got any good recommendations for websites/ prices on trains from London to Sunderland for the game March 16th? Trainline is throwing up some big figures!!! My son wants to head up to game for his birthday 'treat' (will be turning 14) with a couple of friends and don't think I can face the drive from Sussex! All assuming game doesn't get moved of course.

Train split is a decent website and we've seen returns for 40 each with a rail card but we always get to away games for 11 am so we leave at stupid am which is reflected in the price [Post edited 31 Jan 16:58]

Likewise - group of us going for the weekend and have booked a Newcastle hotel. But waiting to see what Sky do before getting train tickets.
Wouldn't be surprised if they chose it as the 'Beale derby'...
Although that weekend is also Leicester v Southampton and Cardiff v Swansea so hoping they go with those. |  |
