After only 83 days in charge Birmingham City sack him. Took over when they sacked John Eustace who had taken them to 6th. place. Only 10 points from the 15 games he was in charge have left them 20th, in the table.

They were clowns in the first place for getting in Rooney as manager. Hardly a proven record of success.

Regardless of that, giving a manager 13 weeks before pulling the trigger is amateurish and embarrassing. More wealthy idiots running football clubs who haven't a bloody clue.

Yes they are stupid and amateurish for getting both giving him the job in the first place, and then not giving him a proper amount of time, though if he had had more time he might have seeh them drop too far down the table. He's yet another example of a former good player or big name not necessarily being able to become a good manager or coach. Yes too many wealthy idiots can't run football clubs, despite being successful in other fields of business.

One of the new investors in the club is NFL QB Tom Brady. You would expect him to know a thing or two about sports management.

Is he an American Football player? If so not necessary, how many Sportstars actually know about the administration or management of the sport they are in . Obviously some do, and become good at it, but the majority probably don't.

I watched the game between Leeds and Birmingham on Monday (I live in Leeds so try and catch them when Dale are away).

Birmingham were awful, you could see they had no plan once the first goal from Leeds had been scored and Leeds had their third choice keeper in net (first suspended, second, injured) and I can only remember one or two shots on target during the game (to be fair one of them brought a good save from the Leeds keeper)

About halfway through the second half the Birmingham supporters were singing "your getting sacked in the morning" - Leeds fans didn't show much sympathy with him being ex Manchester United! There was a bizarre moment after the game when Rooney was going to go over to the Birmingham fans, and he was promptly ushered away by someone.

Yanks - no understanding of our game whatsoever. Same at Chelsea which is a complete joke.

He retired from the NFL about a year ago FHD.

He (and his management team) are pretty switched on with regards to making money, but I don't think he has any sports management experience.

His net worth, as the most successful QB to play the game, was $250M with a $30M p.a. income through endorsements. I suspect this is a vanity project.

He may be one of the few sports "superstars" to be out-earned by his Mrs - namely Gisele Bundchen, Brazilian Supermodel, who reportedly has a net worth of $400M. Interesting divorce settlement there?

They have 2 kids together and I think he has one from a previous relationship.

My guess is he's seen Ryan Reynolds on the telly at Wrexham and thought that looks like fun?

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

Didn’t our BOD hint that he was 90% of the way to buying in to the Dale until Brum suddenly became available?

The worm of time turns not for the cuckoo of circumstance.
