Can the lifeboat 'HMS FFP' save QPR 15:31 - Aug 8 with 5142 viewsActonExile

Does anyone one know which clubs (apart from us) are next in line for a points deduction under FFP and is there a maximum deduction assuming we can't ask the EFL to dish 30 and 40 pointers.

Poll: Wherever QPR end up playing home games in the future, what is most important?

Possibly Brum and Cardiff.
Another point, it's been 39 mill for FFP over three years for years. Next season the clubs will be getting a lot more cash from Sky (boo). I wonder if the 39m will change ?

Surely the extra Sky money would just make it harder to breach the £39m for everyone. Why would it lead to a greater allowable loss?

every time chelsea sign another player for £50m or so, i laugh about FFP. the rules should be across all leagues equally, fans wanted to see the game levelled up not create huge gulfs.

I really want to know how Cardiff are getting away with their spending if they are under a transfer embargo how did they manage to find the money for the Bowler, Ramsey and Grant deals.

As far as Birmingham are concerned I'm assuming they got a massive sell on fee for Bellingham going to Madrid.
Oh and we missed a trick there by not giving Eustace the job when Warburton left.

Well I think it does apply (sort of) but in the PL their income streams are massive compared to the Championship, let alone lower down, and they always try to look for creative ways around it which the authorities then make out they going to take action against those naughty clubs like PSG and Man City and then do fk all about it.

Plus, Chelsea are signing players on ridiculous 8 year contracts to spread the cost over and to be able to comply but there's a danger (hopefully!) they'll end up with a squad of Winstone Bogarde's they can't shift and who stroll around phoning it in.

I'm no mathematician but I know I can count on Rangers cocking it up.

Aren't Stoke, West Brom and Sheff Wed in the mix somewhere here? And also Hull - somehow - there must be something there? Minus 50 for all of them and we're up and running.

Birmingham also sold Bellinghams brother and had a takeover so I think they are fine now

The takeover doesn’t affect historical losses, Dave, nor mean they’ll be lower in future. It just means someone will cover the loss and maintain the cash flow. It has no bearing on FFP.

New owners cant write off historical losses or mess with the accounts, they are in much the same position as we are with regard to owners having money but cant use that to influence the profit and loss on the balance sheet, but im guessing with the Bellingham money they are ok.

Cardiff however are a totally different ball game i would love to know their rolling 3 year figures , theres a couple of articles in Walesonline which dont make for good reading. Heres the one i could copy but the better one is by John Jones on the 8th March

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-debt-ris

OK got the link for the other article
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/cardiff-citys-finances-laid-bare-26

Cardiff are in a transfer embargo until January where they can only sign frees and loans, which is how it pretty much is the situation we are in, when you read the figures in those reports it makes you think they are gambling on getting promoted but it obviously depends on the rolling 3 year calculation.

Agree. That’s what I was trying to say.

Birmingham must still be tight.
Cardiff should be miles over
Stoke as well
Hull probably
West Brom definitely will be this season. Probably already breached after lasat season.

They’ll all get a points deduction late next season though…

True, but getting a sell on fee for big Bellingham and selling little Bellingham probably does...

Stoke are the ones that interest me - TEN new signings can't be cheap...

Face it though, no-one is as deep in the poo than we are...

Can we go out yet?
Poll: What would you take for Willock if a bid comes this month?

Did Birmingham have a % sell-on when Bellingham went to Real Madrid from Dortmund?
That would probably keep them solvent for a few years.

FFP? Fking fat piss!

I say decimate the whole fking league structure. Leave professional football as Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal and Spurs just playing each other for eternity in some hellish footballing purgatory every Saturday while all the other teams f**k off, us included. We get our Saturdays back and all the top six supporting cocksuckers stay home while we party in these streets.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

Send them all to play in the Saudi Super World Premier League of Champions. Billions of quid. No need to play Sunderland away in the League Cup. They'll love it.

Everyone else gets massive deductions for breaking the rules and we win or draw a few games and get promoted to the Premier League

I read somewhere Cardiff’s fans have massive expectation this season - a top 6 finish

So they are funding a gamble for tomorrow’s success in a strong championship season, and they aren’t the favourites

Poll: Isaac Hayden - Yes or No?

This kinda reminds me of the Covid debacle.

The rules. The rules. The rules. The rules. The rules.

The rules are just a load of shite, unsustainable when everybody uses their common sense and ignores them.

Hmmm. I really don't mean to be personal, but a QPR supporter trusting to the "common sense" of the people running his/her club*?

Were they my club, I think I'd sooner trust the common sense of the guy in your avatar

* - Same applies to half the rest of the 92, btw
