Easyfundraising.org.uk 21:03 - Nov 12 with 2898 views | 49thseason | OK folks, I thought I would stick this up again as Christmas approaches, and there may be people who want to contribute to the club via the Trust but who may not be able to consider buying shares... I have recently revisited Easyfundraising and concluded its a simple way to help the trust to buy more shares. Essentially when you spend money online, the company you are buying from sends a donation to the trust Currently there are 338 people signed up and they have raised £6429.60 since the beginning, The top participant has actually raised an incredible £1630.57 to date!!! This is really painless, if you use a PC , phone or tablet, you can get a nag from EF which you click on and then just buy as normal, a % then goes to the cause of your choice, obviously in this case The Rochdale Supporters Trust (which you can nominate from a drop down list. Its amazing to see how much you can easily earn, even if you use compare the meercat to swap your TV, Broadband, car insurance, etc. some of them will donate £12 -15!! 1.Go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk and set up your account 2. Nominate Rochdale Supporters Trust to receive your donations 3. Get the nag for your PC, Phone , whatever. I reckon I will donate about £25 just from my grocery deliveries and similar from a weekly take-away using Just Eat.... imagine if we could get 1000 of us at a similar rate! Tell your wives, girlfriends, kids, mums , dads etc to get on board all you have to do once you are set up is click on the nag button when you start shopping, it comes up whenever you visit a store that participates.. Lets USE this opportunity to its full extent.... it costs us nowt and could pay for 1000s of shares over 12 months, or whatever else the Trust needs Do it now! go on! do it! Then use it! https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/

Any idea why this fund raising option isn't available via Amazon? There are lots of local Scout groups, social clubs, local organisations eligible for donations, but not RAFC. It must be a vast source of expenditure amongst supporters with a potential option to raise a few quid. Can't we add our name to the list of beneficiaries?

I also signed up a while ago and did all Xmas shopping through it - one bug/bugbear is sometimes, when you activate the appropriate % donation, it updates the website and chucks you back to the homepage. You can hit back twice and usually get back to where you were, but it can be a PITA.

Not had a problem to be honest, most sites I use pay about half a percent, not a lot but I seem to get about £2.50 a month just from my grocery shopping on line and the occasional pair of trousers or a jumper. If a 1000 of us were doing the same it would add up quickly. Apparently Just Eat is another place you can use it... people need to get the nag that you can download and which reminds you to collect the payment when you visit a participating site and buy something.

My question, specifically, was about the Amazon site. I have been raising donations via easyfundraing for many years, but as a family we also do plenty of spending on Amazon. It would be a great opportunity for all supporters to raise cash donations, hence my question.

It’s exactly the same percentage paid to an organisation via both easyfundraising and the smile site you posted. As easyfundraising is already in place, what’s the point of setting up another to run alongside it for the exact same thing? Someone has kindly provided you a link above to the Amazon page that is on easyfundraising.
