Nice touch by the club - well deserved recognition of everything he has contributed. We thank you.

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!
Poll: Is it coming home?

Well said. He's a doughty chap but stood firm when required. A name which will go down in Dale history for the right reasons.

Poll: Who do you think bury should appoint as their next manager?

I particularly enjoyed his goal at Oxford in August 2001.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

I particularly enjoyed his goal v Tamworth in the FA cup 2001. Great burgers at The Lamb Ground. The burgers were beef, not lamb, ground or otherwise.

Oh, and thank you Andrew Kelly for standing firm when others who pretended to be custodians were only interested in their own pockets. A man of integrity, not self-interested greed. A man NOT charged by the EFL for breaking the rules.

NB: David Bottomley WAS CHARGED, FOUND GUILTY, PLEADED GUILTY AND BANNED FOR TWO YEARS BY THE EFL FOR WHAT HE DID

Check it out - it's true.

Couldn't agree more.

They were excellent burgers.

As the Sandy sings - "David Bottomley's a..."

Poll: Would you have Keith Hill back?

I remember I had to go to that game on my own. My two travelling companions failed to ward off the effects of the night before, leaving me to travel on the supporters coach, feeling like death. An uninspiring game and a fortunate win (after a replay), if I remember rightly?

Yes. I think their goalkeeper, Darren Acton, broke his leg during the game.

Yes, I think Michael Oliver scored a late long range winner in the replay.

Remember a low on confidence Paul Connor missing a sitter in the first game too.
