Much talk about this pre season.

It appears the average is over 1000 down on last season so far.

I want to add one slight condition to this bet if you’re amenable to it?

Rather than a charity of the other persons choice, the loser donates £100 to Keiths charity.

Other than that, as we were. Average attendances at the end of the season to be within 500 of last seasons, equal to it or higher.

If he does leave before the end of the season, I don’t mind if you want to void it or take the count from that point, but specify either way so I’m clear.

Reasonable enough?

Sure.

We have the Huddersfield bet too. Same terms.

As for if the manager leaves - if 50% of the home season has been completed then happy to take it from that point - otherwise we can void.

You said you didn’t want to do the Huddersfield bet, but I’m happy to if we make it £50 on each or to just do £100 on us this season v last season. I don’t fancy staking £200 when I’m not actually going to win money whatever happens.

Ok. I’m happy with bet standing after half our home games

I accepted your Huddersfield bet at the same time you accepted my Swansea bet if you look back.

£50 each, £100 each, charity, our own banks - it’s all good with me. I expect to win both fairly comfortably.

Whatever you are comfortable with.

My mistake then.

Ok, £50 on each one. Still happy to go to Keiths charity. Russell Martin being our manager for at least half our league games stands on both.

Hardly surprising with the walk up fans disillusioned by Martin tactics and team selection Hopefully yesterday performance will prove a turning point.

It has not been hrlped by the opposition so far who don't have a big away following. I am sure attendances will improve with teams like Sunderland, Sheffield United, Bristol City and WBA who have good away support

You don’t compare by sequence, that’s one of the most ludicrously stupid theories yet.

And you aren’t even correct anyway. You can’t even get your own theories correct let alone grasp actually viable ones.

Last season: 65,681
This season: 64,958

DOWN by 723.

Try again champ.

My figures are for the first four league games last season and this.
An absolutely acceptable, and only acceptable, comparative set of comparisons.
You are desperately trying to sell an attack on the club with cherry picked numbers.
Your premise and twisting is flawed.
Try again .. chump.

Yep and it doesn’t appear you can add up.

A nonsense logic, and you can’t even get it right.

First 4 last season was 700+ up on first 4 this season.

As I said, try again champ.

Get your fingers and toes out and add them up.

And yes ST’s are counted regardless, it’s ticket sales.

We are down on last seasons ST’s and walk ups have been disillusioned by Martinball. Hence why we are lower this year.

The emphasis on this forum is too focus on all negative trends. In life people can focus on the positive and encourage growth and development or simple denigrate and criticise. Such characters see vindication as vital.

Martin is generally positive and recently has accepted he must mix thing up a bit more so that his style does not suffocate itself with self indulgence. He seems to me to be the kind of manager that might stay for a while. He is now over 50% of his 'Swansea shelf life' and still supposedly "developing" a style. If he is on a generally upward trajectory at the end of the season he will stay.

Possession football is vital for Swansea development. Ollie Cooper 22 and trained for years in the Swansea system hs slotted in un noticed like a duck to water. It was easy for him. The pathway must also be easy for the next batch. Stability for Swansea is long over due.

Martin should stay for a 5 year period as long as he can get results and consistency. He has to find a way. The club needs stability to bring through prospects Lloyd, Cotterill, Rushesha Congreve and others.

Wise sage since Toshack era

I agree, I’ve been behind Martin from the start, really started to lose patience, but last two games have restored my faith.

Really excited about the season ahead.

That's one thing we done yesterday was to battle to the final whistle.
If we get a decent result Draw or win against Birmingham I'm sure we will start getting a health crowd again.
Well done all yesterday that sang and clapped the team home until the ref blew up.
I'm sure the players must of felt that

Negative and positive are simply perceptions based on the readers feelings.

A fact is neither positive nor negative, it’s just what it is.

How you feel when reading that tricks you into thinking it’s one or the other.

Well they count in one way but not in another but the reality is if only two season ticket holders go the game on the 15th and just one on the 22nd then the attendance on the 22nd is less than the attendance on the 15th.
