Laurence Bassini said on Talksport (transcript of the video in the link) that he is "bringing a criminal case against Nick Craig of the EFL regarding where he witheld evidence."
Meanwhile the Birmingham fans are in uproar about the risk of asset strippers and Bassini says:
1) Openly says he will only be there for 3 years. 2) He is not going on the Board. 3) Dodges the questions of the money and where it has come from.
"I am not seeking his approval" says Bassini before defaming Nick Craig (EFL lawyer) calling in the Talksport produced video calling Mr Craig "a crook"
I wonder how closely the EFL are going to look at the links between Bassini and his takeover of Birmingham and Southall's attempted takeover of Dale.
Southall wouldn't be trying to dip his bread on a much more lucrative opportunity and leaving us behind now? I could see why he might; Bassini could get in at Birmingham!

Can you imagine Matt Southall in a boxing match? Fat Pat has the former Woolworths shoplifter down as a flyweight.
Wasn't there an attempt to hire a hitman to waste Chris Farnell who is a director of Bassinis company, Farnell being the solicitor who sued Southfookall and won C. Ā£20k?

This is quite something. Romanian news website Pro Sport is reporting that Matt Southall is being investigated for āordering a murderā on Tahnoon Nimerās lawyer Chris Farnell. #cafcpic.twitter.com/0HDw64RcOZ
An EFL spokesperson said: āFurther to speculation in the media, the EFL wishes to clarify that it is not currently in receipt of documentation from any individual regarding acquisition of control at Birmingham City.
āAll Clubs are aware of the requirements under EFL Regulations for prior approval.ā
Over to you Laurence.
There's a lad called Jarvis from the Wirral who might be able to help with contacting the EFL for you. Apparently knows quite a bit about "doing deals" in football.

And when it goes norks skywards he can send for serial advisor Matthew Southall to bail him out.

And when it goes norks skywards he can send for serial advisor Matthew Southall to bail him out.
I was really suprised judd that Southall wasn't all over the Birmingham deal.
Shows how far his stock in football fallen really when he was brokering deals for half decent Championship clubs and then last Autumn the MEN confirmed he was playing in League 2.
Southall began by stating that he was contacted by Alexander Jarvis on behalf of Morton House with a view to a purchase of the shares. He said that he had known Jarvis for a few years and the pair had worked together before including at Charlton. Jarvis had told him that he had a deal that had āgone wrongā that might be of interest Southall.
Southall's mistake there appears to be responding to Alexander Jarvis!

Looks like the Bassini / Southall partnership might have failed at Birmingham.
Who would have thought it?
Good to see Jordan and Talksport putting the scrutiny and boot in on people like Bassini (and Southall previously when Jordan tore him a new one during the few months of failure at Charlton)

Jim White of talkSPORT has provided a huge update on a potential takeover at St Andrew's, relaying a message from Bassini on Tuesday morning. Reading out a message sent to him from Bassini, he said: "I am about to complete the deal.
Deary me. The EFL are really in a massive mess aren't they.
Not content with taking longer than the serving queue at the Wilbutts Lane Chippy when Fat Pat is doing her "buy one chip barm, get a second free" offer to get to any form of conclusion involving Morton House and Rochdale, the EFL have struggled for over a year to deal with Matthew Southall's escapades at Charlton Athletic, Rochdale AFC and now Birmingham City.
āWe will be adding to the team that we have got, we will assess the team that is here first and add to the team as we see necessary. Probably a CEO and CFO,ā Richardson said, confirming that Southall will be coming in and admitting that he has āa little bit of history yes'.
Presumably with Southall in a Birmingham and Jim White briefed Bassini has completed the EFL's processes about buying a club; you know, the ones that people are supposed to follow......
Charlton fans on the other hand are a lovely bunch and have drawn the EFL a lovely coloured picture of how "consultants" Matt Southall and Bassini worked together: https://thecharltondossier.com/map/
According to the Charlton dossier website: "Bassini was briefly reported by the media to be interested in a bid for Charlton in May 2020. However documents subsequently emerged which showed that Bassini was claiming to be owed Ā£1.25m by Charlton as a āfinderās feeā for his supposed involvement in assisting ESIās purchase. This claim appears to have been dismissed by the club. Lee Amis has asserted that he (Amis) was the person who introduced ESI to Richard Murray, so he says Bassiniās supposed role is a bogus claim. Certainly such an amount for a finderās fee would be highly excessive, and Bassiniās lawyers produced no contract to support the claim."
(not the most flattering picture of Jade picking her nose either)
Meanwhile on the Wirral, Captain Sabotage is firing up his Instagram again ready to be called upon.
We feel sorry for Birmingham City fans as we did for Charlton fans and as many did for us. How will Morcambe fans feel in a few months? What about fans of Swindon Town? What about the former FA Cup winner bury fc?
The carousel turns, the regulator watches. Football burns.
When Jim White is better informed than you on something then worry!
Interesting that the EFL haven't managed to comment yet. Perhaps Birmingham will be in League 2 by the time it is all too late.....

She's not picking her nose, she's checking it's still there
Jade had been getting fillers since the age of 19 in the hopes that they would make her 'skinny' lips look 'more attractive' and believes she has spent as much as Ā£5,000 on augmenting her lips over the years.
She told MailOnline: 'I started only small with about 0.5 ml but the more I thought that the effect had worn off the more I went back for more.
'The initial effect wears off so quickly that I didnāt think I still had filler in my lips at some point just because they didnāt look swollen, it became ridiculous like I couldnāt see what was in the mirror in-front of me.'
aded added: 'My friends and family tried to discourage me but it was something that I wanted to do and it almost became a comfort blanket to me to boost my confidence every few months.'
Eventually, she decided to get them dissolved because she wanted to set a good example to her six-month-old daughter.
'After having her, I realised I wanted her to grow up and know how absolutely beautiful she is naturally and how she didnāt need to drastically change her face like I did,' Jade explained.
'I also grew to hate the photos of us together as all I could see was lip filler and from the side I had the famous duck lips, it looked ridiculous and I started to ask my boyfriend to stop taking photos with me in them.'
"Duck lips"

"A report from Mirror journalist James Nursey has stated that Richardson is āback in talksā to buy the club as part of the Dale-led consortium. Richardson previously paid a Ā£15m deposit and contributed to the clubās running costs, though it is said that his partnership with Lopez is currently āon holdā.
Hang on.
"Previously paid a Ā£15m deposit"
"Contributed to the club's running costs"
Is the EFL really doing any checks?
Wigan got into trouble with loans in 2020 and it will be interesting to see what the EFL manage to solve when a Ā£15m deposit has been paid and contribution to a club's running cost have been done but the person doesn't actually form part of the ownership of the club.
And as the net closes in from the EFL and HMRC, the poor man's Andrew Tate is apparently spouting ineffectual hate and poison on Twitter under one of its many user names, again. What a loser.

The OP from June 2022 shows how slow and ineffectual the EFL actually are with them taking action in February 2023 to try to enforce their own rules broken last Summer!
Fat Pat heard in the Chippy that the EFLās pursuit of wrongāuns is going up a notch in 2023 and that this is just the start. Now working with other agencies (for example HMRC) a lot of information is being shared in an attempt to clean up football.
Things like āWhere did that Ā£15m deposit come from?ā
Some relevant sections covering the type of āRelevant Personā:
(j) any āchief executiveā officer, āgeneral managerā, āchief operating officerā or any other person undertaking any duties which would objectively be considered to be equivalent to those roles;
(k) any person appointed by those with Control over the Club to represent their interests in the management of the Club;
Here is Paul Richardson quoted in the Birmingham Mail confirming Matt Southall as CEO in July 2022:
He also revealed he intends to add to the management team, with controversial former Charlton chief executive Matt Southall coming in as Blues ā new CEO.
āWe will be adding to the team that we have got, we will assess the team that is here first and add to the team as we see necessary. Probably a CEO and CFO,ā Richardson said, confirming that Southall will be coming in and admitting that he has āa little bit of history yes'.
Richardson added: āI have known Matt for over ten years, a personal friend, we need someone in this club that has experience in a tough environment, we have got some tough decisions to make as we move forward and we believe, myself and Maxi are right behind him, that he is the right guy to do it. I know all about the history, we have talked about it extensively. Matt, along with the CFO, will be reporting to myself and Maxi
The EFL takes a very dim view of any CEO at a football club who doesnāt follow all of the rules.
I wonder if Matt will pick the phone up to Roger and ask him for some advice on dealing with the situation?

As much as Iād enjoy seeing Southall get his comeuppance, Iād rather people concentrated on the situation OUR club is in. Weāre on the verge of losing our football league status so forgive me for not giving a shite whatās happening at Birmingham.

Don't forget that Southall had a significant role into getting us into this mess. The new board were embroiled in fighting off legal action instead of being able to concentrate on the manager & matters on the pitch.

Donāt think anyone forgets that or is under any illusion of the efforts of the board and supporters over the last couple of years. However we can only influence the situation now and that includes reflecting on the multitude of mistakes weāve made as a club, things that are under our control, to be be better in the future.

Who's forgotten it?
Fact is we have more important things to concern ourselves with at the moment than what Birmingham and/or Morecambe are doing and continually bumping posts about those clubs up the board doesn't change that.
