It's all getting very politically hot out there with sanctions.
The United States have it the Kinahan Cartel with worldwide sanctions effectively freezing all of their worldwide assets.
What is interesting about this article is the links to Dubai, the UK and Spain and how the authorities are seeing the sporting links as a way of identifying money laundering and money transfer which may not have been via legitimate means.

Indeed, but it comes as no surprise
The appetite for severe sanctions brought about by the Ukraine crisis possibly means the unravelling of many other previously untouched criminal gangs. Who knows where, and with whom, this will end?
It's an incredibly dangerous and unstable world out there, and we should be careful how we approach these issues from the comfort of our previously sheltered lives
