The Daily Telegraph reported in August 2021:
Jarvis said he himself had been on the “heated” Zoom call and that he could not recall the alleged comments being made by Curran, adding: “I don’t think, if he did say it, that he meant it in the way that it would be perceived.”

9.3 gives the testimony of a senior EFL official and says:
The meeting was extremely difficult throughout with AC saying words to the effect of “We own 43%, regardless of what you do. If they want to be a load of nancy boys stabbing us in the back that’s up to them”.
9.5 gives the testimony of a senior EFL official and says:
"AC then challenged the EFL and stated words to the effect of “We own 43% regardless of what you do”. This was aimed at the EFL. He went on ‘If they want to be a load of nancy boys stabbing us in the back, that’s up to them”. This was in reference to the RAFC Board.
Reading the document carefully it looks like Jarvis is up to his neck in it.

"24. Andrew Curran is sanctioned as follows:

Wonder if anyone knows if Andrew Curran complied with item 24(b) of the FA's sanction, given his history of non-cooperation with FA or EFL instructions, rules and polite requests as listed in "The FA V Andrew Curran" PDF of 10th January 2022?
If Andrew Curran has not complied with item 24(b) of the FA's sanction, that will, amongst other issues he has not complied with, render him incapable of passing the EFL OADT. That will render his "alleged" "We own 43% regardless of what you do" invalid as it was purchased outwith EFL rules. Rules he has to adhere to as an agreed "participant" , as noted in Para 10 of the FA's decision.
Was this as a result of poor advice from (Para 9.1 (g) ) "his legal representative, Alexander Jarvis" ?
Was this as a result of (Para 9.4(a) ) poor advice by David Roger Bottomley? A former RAFC director unprecedentedly REMOVED FROM OFFICE by shareholders at an EGM on 1st June 2021?
(Para 9.4(a) ) "The previous CEO of RAFC was David Bottomley (DB), who was removed from his role on 1 June 2021. Prior to leaving the club, he was in contact with AC and DR and initiated conversations about selling his shares in RAFC. It has since come to light that DB passed on personal information to AC and DR who have since acquired shares. This was all done without any knowledge of RAFC or any communication with the EFL which would require authorisation under OADT."
Was bitter Botters using Andrew Curran and Alexander Jarvis to feather his own nest? Shareholders knew that was the sort of thing he was desirous of, whoever the source may be, and voted accordingly.
In the light of all this evidence, how twisted and peculiar is the "Morton House" (whoever or whatever Facial Soufane's company is) threat of High Court action against RAFC directors as individuals and the Dale Trust for "reputational damage" when those most deeply involved in "Morton House" have done exceptional damage to the "Morton House" reputation by their own actions as filed in an FA disciplinary case? M'Lud will notice that immediately.

The FA will know - it is their punishment and it is a nice, easy binary review.
The requirement of Andrew Curran from the FA was as follows:
(b) The completion of a face-to-face education programme to be completed before the expiry of the suspension period.
So either:
(1) He completed the face-to-face education programme before the deadline in mid-March or
(2) He didn't.
If Curran hasn't done this face-to-face education programme then both the FA and the EFL have yet another misconduct case to do.
The FA accept in their written reasons that Curran is bound by all of the FA and EFL rules as he signed an OADT form in July 2021.
Imagine if any footballer who was found guilty of such a misconduct charge just sacked off the punishment. Didn't bother. Turned to the FA and EFL and said "Nah, rules don't apply to me"
And that brings us back to good old Jarvis. Remember he grassed Curran to the Daily Telegraph and disclosed:
The call nevertheless prompted a WhatsApp message from Alexander Jarvis, who described himself as an adviser to what he admitted was a “hostile takeover” and said that Curran was “a bit of a recluse”.

Confirmed by the Manchester Evening News that Andrew Curran hasn't bothered to complete the course yet then!
I did wonder if the whole point of that face-to-face course was deliberately designed to lure him out of hiding into a controlled environment where the relevant authorities could then make further examination and inquiry of him.
Jarvis suggested he was a "recluse" but we know that isn't true given the July 2021 visit to Spotland reported by the Dale Trust.

Andy Curran comes with very little digital footprint so far. For a man with sufficient wealth to purchase a Football Club, we could find very little information regarding his history other than one involvement with a construction company back in 2009. This raised several concerns to us in itself. The only other information that we had involved a link with Swindon Town FC last season, where his son was a member of the first-team squad.
We emailed Jarvis on Saturday 3rd July asking for contact details for Andy Curran, with Curran himself emailing us back on Monday 5th, and we emailed back immediately expressing our views on the Football Club and any concerns that we as a Trust would have with regards to any prospective takeover. He replied with aims and plans for the Club, explaining what had gone on so far. A meeting was arranged for Tuesday 6th July.
When questioned as to why so little information was available about him, he said that this was simply down to him being a very private person. He had made his money through a roofing business and housing, and since then he had preferred to be the money man behind ventures.
The FA look to be playing the long game and who knows, perhaps he will turn up at an FA rehabilitation centre in the next 16 days. | |
