Reading the Charlton article,it is clear that Bassini as not got a leg to stand on and the debt is clearly Southall's, who broke numerous regulations in seeking to pass the debt onto Charlton. Like Morton House and the shysters, regulations do not seem to apply to these people or so they think.

The intentions to provide a loan to purchase the control of another football club when he himself is already an co owner of another club item West Ham. As the details are in the loan agreement that if any payments are missex then he takes over! Now that shouldnt be allowed under the FA rules....... From what have i been told is that WHU will probably be sold in 2023 to one of the other major shareholders..... [Post edited 12 May 2022 8:24]

No risk for David Gold, who knows the club well from his 16 years there between 1993 and 2009. It goes to show that Bassini is yet another frontman for a third party investor. Brum fans have "piled in" on "ludicrous" takeover claims: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/birmingham-city-ta "Having an owner with no money would be the worst case scenario. Don't see how anyone can borrow to buy a club that's just ludicrous." They need to have a word with Alexander Jarvis. I assume Captain Sabotage is brokering that deal?

I think we have learned - don't believe everything you read in the press. If Bassini is involved there I am sure the EFL will be all over him and his advisers like a rash given the current levels of governance in football. Minor players like Captain Sabotage were very good at getting names in the press - the acid test is one of substance once the EFL prod and poke the potential buyer and test their credentials.
