Out Aaron Morley (Bolton, Undisclosed - rumoured £85K plus add ons) Jake Beesley (Blackpool, Undisclosed - rumoured £400K plus add ons) Corey O'Keeffe (Mansfield, Loan Expired)
In Corey O'Keeffe (Permanent, from Mansfield, Undisclosed - rumoured no fee) Tahvon Campbell (Permanent, from Woking, Undisclosed - rumoured £100K) James Ball (Permanent, from Solihull Moors, Undisclosed) Luke Charman (Permanent, from Darlington, Undisclosed - rumoured £41K) Max Clark (Permanent, from Fleetwood, No Fee) Paul Downing (Loan, from Portsmouth, No Fee) George Broadbent (Loan Extended, from Sheffield United, No Fee)
When its written down in black and white, a fantastic window IMO. Managed brilliantly by the board and management team (which in itself is a minor miracle with everything that is going on off the field), and it feels like we are now seeing the makings of a proper Stockdale squad.
Credit also to the Dale social media team... some great work this month. A couple of funny / clever announcements. Say it quietly, but it feels like its becoming fun to follow Dale again!

And O'Connell stays. Rumoured to be leaving, he hasn't been sold.
The other thing that jumps out of that is the trading skills of divesting players at a premium whilst signing new ones.
Question will be is the manager happy? This was his first proper window after the Summer issue - he's certainly not wasted the month building a squad.
+4 players on where we started the month in the squad.
Also refreshing as a fan not to hear how hard it trying to sign players when your little old Rochdale. The management just seem to have got on with it and landed more or less everyone they wanted. Nice to see and very encouraging for the summer window when I’m sure the squad will be tweaked again.

The squad as taken shape nicely if you consider what it was like in the summer...
Sold two for aroubd £500k.
Brought 4 in for £200k . Not inc loans . Nice business.
Will O'connell sign a new contract though is the question.
My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

That doesn't just happen without full support from the board, as with everything the whole things been handled with class, even more so considering the stuff constantly going on in the background, a superb transfer window

The only thing that I was miffed about was people on social media moaning that we were signing "non-league" players. They need to remember that we're not in the top half of League One anymore. Clubs like Solihull are only a few places below us in the football pyramid these days.

He seems pretty happy in this interview, remaining sanguine after losing Morley and Bees. The metamorphisis of the squad is interesting with each passing window as the first X1 has more and more RS recruits. Not been as intrigued to see how the rest of a season plays out for some time.

Same very intrigued. I think the Beesley move is one of the biggest differences he very much had us playing in a certain way as he kept the defenders occupied in a way I don't think Campbell and Charman will. So really interested to see how we change up top and really hopeful that we have more goals in us.
Early signs are there that we're more solid at the back.

Your right NB when writing it I was thinking the same in my head but obviously doesn’t look the same on paper. RS can only make this happen with the boards support otherwise it doesn’t happen. The good thing about all this is the board must have confidence in the clubs funds moving forwards. I can’t remember a transfer window were we have actually paid for four players ? The board and management have done all they can, now let’s hope the Rochdale public respond and turn up on Saturday to support the club.

The very same idiots complained when we signed previous "non-league" players like Beesley, then moaned again when we sell them for "only" £400k...its staggering how fooking deluded some of them are, you often question can they really be that stupid.

Not exactly appreciative are they!
