We've had a LOT of interest tonight from Fylde fans on twitter, asking why Dale fans would be so vehemently against Mr Bottomley getting involved in another football club. There is also a general feeling that their chairman wouldn't jeopardise his reputation (& legacy) by appointing somebody who isn't a good fit... by all accounts he is well connected & fans think he would make an informed decision.
Obviously we are educating them and sharing information with them that is freely available in the public domain such as the Hasbro case, and the Southall / Curran / Jarvis meeting at Spotland earlier this year (they're also working their way through the Hostile Takeover thread)... but we wouldn't be surprised if they reach out on here, to the Trust, or to individuals on twitter, to build a holistic view of the feelings towards Mr Bottomley (& the risk he may present to their club) before they take further action in the new year.
It comes back to the question - if David Bottomley has been successful in his application to the role of CEO, AFC Fylde - why hasn't it been announced by the club or the man himself? An ex 'elite football' CEO, football consultant, accomplished non-exec director, expert communicator, really hard worker, etc would be a real coup for a non-league team, would it not?
And finally, in the North Stand at AFC Fylde....... on 23:04 - Dec 24 by UpTheDaleNotForSale

Surely no other team..nor any other employer in any field would be stupid enough to take this horrible person on? Should face proceedings imo never mind getting another job.
Just look what he did to us. Not having all the crap about Jarvis being at fault. It was all Bottomley. He brought in all the other. bidders for Dale. Without his sceming we wouldn't have had all the trouble.
Feel awful for Fylde fans. Really do.

I doubt very much he'll have anywhere near the level of control that he engineered at Rochdale.

All we can do is warn them and hope they take it on board and so something about it. A bit like another thread on here.
