The BRIGHT white ad on the scoreboard? 23:18 - Aug 18 with 1426 viewsdingdangblue

Did anyone else find it really distracting last night? Can't remember what it was showing but it kept flashing up every few minutes and from the Pearl St stand it was blinding if you glanced at it.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

It was the advert for the match sponsors and was on a white background.

You're right, it was extremely bright.

I referenced this in the match thread earlier today

I'm sure the board would've noticed how distracting it was and will be looking to make adjustments, especially for night games

Occurred to me it could also be difficult for players when tracking the ball in the air, a bit like cricketers struggling with catches under floodlights

The problem might then arise that the screen would become too dim in bright sunlight. Another analogy is looking at your mobile phone under very different lighting conditions, unless you have it set to auto-adjust, which probably isn't possible with scoreboards. Other clubs with more experience of screens might be able to advise
