Some good threatening movement from us but you do feel we lack that cutting edge at the spearhead, as much as Beesley’s running is useful. Once again we look vulnerable to wingers, especially down our right. It’s a shame because on the balance of play I would say we are ahead. I just hope we can make the most of our forays forward this half. Some of our balls into the box from out wide seem designed to find feet rather than head.

Case in point about Beesley there and absolutely gut punched at the other end.

Beesley misses a sitter and then they go up the other end and score. FFS.

That was a shocking miss. Made worse by conceding a minute later. Gah. Said I had a feeling we’d lose this!

Its nearly 4 years since we went 5 unbeaten.... 10th Dec 2016 to 23rd Jan 2017.
Come on Dale. This is doable.

Love to see a player with the ball at his feet like Newby does, but for me he's still holding onto it too long too often and not releasing players with an earlier ball

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

I'm sure we'd be doing similar.

We have a real lack of physical presence upfront. Beesley runs non-stop but rarely wins a header or a physical challenge. Chris Dagnall had a great work rate but so did George Donnelly.

Shame I don't think we've played particularly badly.

3-1. Free header from a corner although it was a great finish. Their sub has run us ragged since he came on & the goal was always coming

The Beesley miss unfortunately was the turning point & they have deserved it since

Agree to an extent but I also feel like a team takes on the character of the manager somewhat. I've sat behind his dugout for many games and seen how he operates. Its not like BBM

Harsh but these are the fine margins that make a difference. Ifs, buts and maybes but think we'd have got 3 points on Saturday and a positive result tonight had Humphreys been in the team.

Dropped 4 places since they took the lead & 3 points off the drop now with a poor goal difference

Not sure it matters who the manager is; it's good game management. We've done it loads of times down the years.

3-1 at FT & they deserved it for the last 30 minutes after an even first hour. can't lack overall effort but we just couldn't get going after their second goal. Lund probably MOM for me although even he was quiet at the end

We need Humphries back soon

Radio Oxford commented that we looked very tired at the end. I included Rochdale in my 5 fold bet, cost me £65, serves me right for betting on us

Lund's second Dale penalty, but the first he's scored.

Newport (A).

Could we of been champions?

Poll: What is it to be then?
