W.. d .. l.. gf.. ga Under copper 16 15 11 55 49 Under potterr 17 8 17 59 57 We have 4 more points than last season. Remarkably our running points total after each game is ahead of last seasons except after our second game. We have scored 4 goals less this season despite selling our top scorer, oli and most dangerous attacking player, dan. Our defence has conceded 8 fewer goals injuries to our centre backs. We have played 6 centre back this season. Away from home we have only lost 4 games. Last season we averaged 1 point per away game this season we average 1.5 points per away game. Our one downside is that we have lost 7 home games. Coopers loan players have all played a part this season. Yet remarkable 50% of our fans think Copper should be sacked. Sacked for doing a better job with an inferior team to last season.

Cooper has a far better set of individuals than last season. Don't forget Potter started the season with 17 fewer players with first team / PL experience than at the end of the season before - by January another 6 had gone. Of those 13 were still on the books when Potter took over. Cooper lost only 4 players of similar standing after his appointment. Cooper has only brought in Cabango from our unders (and that was forced) James was exciting but took a long time to ge going. Brewster has virtually the same stats as McBurnie but Ayew has 4 goals and 5 assists compared with James' 4 & 9. As has been said Monk mark 2 has benefited form the work of others (Potter & loan clubs) he hasn't improved any play and hasn't learn from mistakes. For 90% of the time were are boring to watch.

Coopers points have come in clutches. We had an unbelievable start to the season points wise, though I accept the likes of Jasper were correct in saying the performances didn’t match the results. Post lockdown, we’ve been good. 10 points from 5 games feels about right, although Birmingham and Middlesbrough were both abject. Brewster has been a monster and we’ve played great football in patches. Credit to Cooper too, for finally changing formation and getting a good performance off the back of it. The gripe is the mediocracy served up in between those periods. Same tactics and formation week in week out, little invention, not changing things when they weren’t working. If we don’t make the playoffs, these past few weeks will be a reminder of what could have been achieved.

Maybe because his limitations as a coach are there for all to see. Can’t change tactics during a game , doesn’t make subs until it’s too late and the players look like they’re struggling to know what to do when things aren’t working . And some of our play , especially at home has been mind numbingly shite. Next question.
