Captain Tom on 19:17 - Apr 15 by Lohengrin | Problem you’ve got there Dazzler is it’s pretty much nailed on that both Hugh Grosvenor and Tom Moore are Tories themselves... |
I’m sure Hugh Grosvenor can spare the £12m given he avoided something in the region of £4bn in inheritance tax not long ago. All legal, of course, and he doesn’t have to give anything but putting it in to perspective...

Really? I don’t think it makes the government look great when a near 100 year old has to do a sponsored walk to help fund the NHS

There is something not quite right behind it. To amass such a staggering amount in such a short time is suspicious, to say the least. 15% of the population has given him a tenner! More Tory shenanigans

15% of the population giving him a tenner would be £100m. Given Children in Need type nights raise £25m plus I can quite believe the amount raised - it’s just one of those things that’s caught people’s imagination that’s all when people want to do something to help.

People sitting in the house captivated by the story and not spending money anywhere else. Not that hard to believe.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Do you know what the best part is I realised the error and thought.. oh f**k I bet I can guess which poster will be the first to get me! I nailed it. We all need a laugh, lets leave it there (1.5% it should be) Children in need is not one night though, its weeks of campaigning and press, and a 6 hour telethon on primetime television Lets hope it is what it says on the tin, because 8.5 million raised in just 2 days from a population that is on its financial knees (who are also donating to other charities aswell) is crazy!

Lol, once an accountant, always an accountant... I know what you mean, but genuinely think it makes the government look like complete crap. It’s also been pushed by the tabs and national news. Charitable donations in general are massively down aren’t they? A few charities have been saying they’re on their last legs. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Undoubtedly. As I said, he really doesn’t need to give such a chunk, but he’s worth something like £10bn and paid no tax on any of it. Meanwhile, the ordinary person will find it less easy...

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.
