Today's Ref. 23:14 - Jan 18 with 6181 views | jackal | Hats off to him. Kept the game flowing. Players throwing themselves to the ground and he just played on. A good high tempo game as a result.

Ignoring diving is great refereeing though. There is far too much of it
Today's Ref. on 03:43 - Jan 19 with 4967 views | jack247 | I thought he let Wigan get away with a bit in the first half. It doesn’t keep the game flowing if they are being allowed to get away with niggly fouls and time wasting. We looked great in fits and starts but couldn’t build much momentum. Better in the second half.
Today's Ref. on 06:47 - Jan 19 with 4900 views | sainthelens | Wigan committed 8 fouls in first 15 mins, he didn't warn any of em let alone book one. Both he and the "east" lino were inept....at best.
Today's Ref. on 07:06 - Jan 19 with 4889 views | pencoedjack | Another awful ref & don’t get my started on the unfit lino who lifted his flag every time we attacked 1st half. [Post edited 19 Jan 2020 9:56]

He gave them very little too, which is why the game kept going.
Today's Ref. on 09:37 - Jan 19 with 4737 views | Pacemaker | Foul on Woodman first minute should have been a booking. Looked like a deliberate ploy, the ref was generally appalling but he was consistent, once we realised we could foul too the game moved on. Both linesmen were of such a poor quality I refuse to even comment on them.

He didn't let the game flow though, he kept blowing up for fouls & stopping play. He did appear to have forgotten his cards, the volume of Wigan fouls he let go without showing any yellow cards was bad refereeing.
Today's Ref. on 09:53 - Jan 19 with 4691 views | ploppy | You know who the ref was, don't you? Considering his record of bookings/sendings off, he was very lenient indeed. Maybe he didn't want a repeat.
Today's Ref. on 11:09 - Jan 19 with 4618 views | scruffyjack | Should have had a penalty first half when their centre half dived into Gallagher.

And the West lino, 2 Wigan players were 2 yards offside in the initial break for their goal, lino was miles behind play. It was like watching a game in the 70s with the amount the ref was letting go. Wigan were wise to that and probably knew beforehand what he was like. To wait until the 88th minute before brandishing a card was too late.

This was a cheap shot and he got away with it somehow. We then had 6 fouls in 8 mins against us when we were slick, they played the ref and broke the game up. Anyone seen the offsides because im sure one with Brewster was onside?

Shows his failings then, lets them get away with stuff in the first 15 mins, but sent 3 of ours off no problem there. Very Poor.

11 fouls by Wigan and not one yellow card for persistently slowing the flow of the game is a sign of a poor ref IMO.

Today's Ref. on 20:51 - Jan 19 with 4251 views | Badlands | The Lino on he East made 6 ball out of play calls in a few minutes. 1 the ref reversed. 1He waited for the ref to decide. Two were 100% Swansea throws even to Wing 2 were 100% Wigan throws given to Swansea. Not sure about some of the off-sides he did or didn't give but fans near him were sure he got a couple very wrong.

The worst thing about the offside decisions was it seemed the linesman waited for ages, perhaps conferring with the ref, before raising his flag.

Does explain his insistence on playing free kicks and throws from exact spot in his opinion. Not improved much, other than he kept his cards in his pocket compared to that game.

He let way too much go early on and Wigan took full advantage of it. Last minute of normal time before he got a card out was shocking, that was for kicking the ball away. He should have retraining [Post edited 20 Jan 2020 17:59]
