It's time we spent some money... 18:28 - Nov 23 with 3118 viewsRAFC1907

And stopped fobbing the fans off with 'we haven't got any'.

All the cup runs, players sold etc the crown oil deal, the money from advertising, away fans, £27 pound entry fees, merchandise, catering or beer money all has brought in profit....

Managers cant keep working miracles every season to keep us up, its time Barry Murphy was backed with a little bit to bring in some quality to help the team, this will also help the younger one's who we will eventually sell and if we are in a much healthier position will be more valuable and we can sell for more.

It's not the manager, it's the board.

We now own our own ground, so that's also less money going out on rent which was quite dear when we had to rent the stadium so come on board, back the manager....

Or we can just dwindle on small crowds because we have NO AMBITION...

We are still paying for our ground, about £60k a year for the next 6 years, something like that. (I can’t be bothered to look at the accounts again).

We’ve overspent last year, and how much has KH compo cost us?

Surely we must have had the youngest ever subs bench in our history today and that tells a tale.

Yes, spend money we’ve got but if there ain’t any then we shouldn’t spend. It’s then down to BBM to get his tactics right and hope our injured players return sooner than later.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.
Poll: Do you want Keith Hill to leave immediately?

Good info.

Where can people see the accounts?

Do you have a link?

Thanks

Regardless of anything else, we have received £463,000 from the United game that wasn't budgeted for. That doesn't include the prize money for earlier rounds.

We have received £900,000 from the Craig Dawson add-ons. There's £1.3 million we got unexpectedly.

There is surely some leeway for a splurge in January.

If not, we should be told why.

The gate receipts from the United game will go some way to reducing the expected losses I imagine.

I've also heard that the Dawson monies haven't been received and won't be in full for some considerable time

Reducing the overspend by the previous board/manager is an ongoing process to straighten out. As with any business, the club can't just cancel existing contracts that have already been dished out by the previous management and if it does, it results in huge compensation payments - ie. KH & CB!
