Striker on loan from Bournemouth we’re now linked with too I see, this time by Stuart James journo, so a decent source close to the Swans

Never heard of Surridge

Oh,..Dave, what's occuring?

So best give him away because we won’t go up , we didn’t last season???

We were all set to offload him by hook or by crook a month ago...

Errrrr

McBurnie was fantastic last season and we didn’t get promoted.

You're spectacularly missing the point.

No I’m not. If Borja is great and we get promoted he’ll probably sign a new deal with us... or leave on a free... either way, who cares if we go up?

In the other, far more likely scenario that we don’t go up, we’ve splashed out £xx,000 a week on his wages for a year, lose him for nothing and still need to replace him with money we won’t have.

According to Swanjax who knows someone at the club.

Absolutely correct, Baston agreed to take a 50% reduction in wages and was immediately afforded the No9 shirt, he was given a choice and he excepted to take a pay cut ... he might still move abroad before the end of August but this is the way it stands at the moment

Didn't look any good last night but I'm sure he'll come good once settled.

Poll: Can Montero do it on a rainy Saturday afternoon?

Sam Surridge on 12:23 - Aug 14 with 2841 viewsBadlands

Montero - gone
Carroll - injured so was going nowhere
Ayew - no one wants on his wages.

If Baston and Ayew leave we are screwed as Surridge is not going to do well in this team.
He reminds one of Rory Donnelley - huge reputation, massive potential , no goals.

Really, the lad has been training with us for a week and has played 1 game. Give the kid a chance!

I kind of agree with you, but on last nights performance he needs to improve and fast, he could start by trying to stand up and stop falling over every time he feels a little push in the back, especially so when the ref wasn't giving him much protection.

Certainly not writing him off, hopefully once settled in he'll start hitting the back of the net, there's nothing like that for boosting a strikers confidence.

Getting used to new surroundings and team mates takes time but there are attributes that should stand out as an individual, from what I have seen he doesn't show them. (Ala Rory Donnelley who also had fans shouting form him to be given time and opportunities.)
Last night, IMO, he looked like his instinct was to go down under any contact, not get involved and he didn't make the most of situations when he did have the ball. I would rather have kept and developed CRV for Swansea City.
In their relative positions Garrick, Willmot, Cabango and deBoer all looked a class above.

He's been playing in League Two so you'd think he'd be used to contact and no protection from referees.

I expected that, too.
But to me it looked like he was preparing to drop at the slightest touch which appears to be not uncommon in the PL.

You would have thought so, but he was falling over at the slightest of touches last night, I think he needs a couple of spoonfuls of pedigree chum to put some dog in him.

8 minutes
East near half way ... where my season ticket is.
de Boer got straight in and was looking for work.
Didn't fall down and flounce once!
