Derby tried but Chelsea turned down the loan offer. They know what they've got on their hands.

I'd just love to see how he does when playing week in week out. I think he's a bit wasted not playing at Chelsea.

He's not going to come here, but I'd love to see him on loan at somewhere like Fulham.

He was born well after Kwame left Swansea, so what's his Welsh connection? Mother a Swansea girl?

Exeter must be pi55ed at being forced to sell him for that much. Worth far more already imo

Good enough for me. Mepham, Brooks, Smith. Seems a few of these prospects have rather tenuous Welsh links. Say f*ck all as long as we're winning

Apparently when we bought Matty Grimes, Ethan was offered to us at the sametime for £100,000 but Jenkins said no. Ethan was 15 at the time but was tipped for a big future. That information came from a very reliable person.

Please tell me this is not true.

This guy looks like and plays like a young Ruud Guillt.

Going to be play for Real or Barca pretty soon.

What a player. Amazing talent.
He is 17.

Not sure about the figure, 500k I was told , but he spent a week with the Swans and wanted to sign. This is from a member of the coaching staff. He was only 15 at the time mind.

You've gone quiet recently. Can't moan about the youth set up now we have a handful of local lads in the starting line up I suppose

Anyway, what's the Welsh connection with the others I mentioned? Not complaining, genuinely interested.

Its the welsh local lads i was backing mun !
Drawing the clear contrast with the production of Joey, Ben, Jazz, and Macca.

You carry on happy clapping Kenji Gorre if you want.
Or half a dozen pretty average Scots...?

Both connor and joe were young players in the Curtis era CoE.
You know ....before we had money to waste.

Woodburns grandfather is a Jack.
Dai Brooks mother is welsh - llangollen.

Don't be all disappointed because we've missed on a chance to sign him.

Huw would have sold him last year for 5-10 m.

The academy was granted Cat1 status just two years ago. For about that long you've been bleating about lack of Welsh talent in the higher age groups. But as you pointed out, Roberts and Rodon go all the way back to CoE days - and they are only now breaking through. Academy has always been about investing for the future, you're not going to see the benefits over night. The signing of older players from Scotland etc. has been to fill a gap until the local academy talent works its way through the system

Your concerns are at least 3 or 4 years early
