Take your pick, buy a raffle ticket:
MacLaren
Carvahal
Pardew
Silva
McCarthy
Wenger
Coleman
Sherwood

What other mouthwatering delights can be added to the list?!

If McLaren is the only option then it's change for change sake and that makes me smell a rat ! Something has gone on behind the scenes imo

So you can't see any difference between Ollie and McLaren. No reason to choose one over the other. Is that what you're saying.

I can understand why he wouldn’t have been interested last time but this season has shown that he can’t really take Aberdeen further. Rangers will only get stronger. Money talks and he’ll have to continue selling players to both the 2 big clubs. No chance of winning league....maybe the odd cup as he has already done.

Money does talk, and we haven't got any.

why not go for up and coming managers like the Cowley brothers , Hurst at shrewsbury or Nathan Jones at Luton ?

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

The last time we took on an up and coming manager we got JFH.
Can only recall Sousa being the only moderately successful up and coming variety of late.

Silva is a good shout though doubt he'd be considering Championship clubs.

Out of the "big names" McClaren is the only one I'd tolerate because of his background, history here and coaching focus. The rest of those on the list should be nowhere near us

It's obviously going to be McClaren, but when was the last time at least 95% of the fanbase was very happy and agreed with an appointment? Plenty of doubters about Hughes, loads about Redknapp... I think we were fairly united if circumspect about Warnock? Have we appointed a manager since Gerry Francis (either time) who was actively warmly, unconditionally welcomed?

Bare bones.

Emphasis on youth development and operating within a management structure. The job now isn't seen as the same as the one we gave JFH, or Ollie.

Carsley would be the up and coming component (though he seems to have no interest in head roles).

McInnes doesn’t have any at Aberdeen. Or did you mean his wages? Presume we will pay more than Aberdeen. If he was interested, Would he fit the bill for you?

Cannot believe we are back here. After so many short tenured managers nobody trusts any appointment anyway.

‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’

Holloway did better than the Championship average.

2017 data:
Average tenure of dismissed managers, 0.95 years
Average tenure of current managers, 1.07 years

We shouldn't rule out this man, he talks a good talk:
