Have to disagree with most of that. He scored more goals than anyone else in the current squad bar Henderson and Done and I think he finished the season as our assist leader too. He was just as poor as anyone else for the first half of the season, but for most of that he was being played as a winger which he isn’t. From the Spurs game onwards he was one of the best players in the team.

37 games, 4 goals, 6 assists and 1 yellow card., 26 years old. He was 1 goal better and the same assists as Andrew, but that is about as far as the comparison goes given Andrew's defensive contributions. The team simply wasn't good enough but there are players who worked hard, players who scored goals (but not enough) and players in their early 20s who gained great experience. I expected Inman to contribute much much more, 1 yellow card tells me all I need to know about his committment. Indeed, Steve Davis at Crewe sent him out on loan on 2013 criticising his attitude and not wanting him around the squad. Full marks to KH for trying to fix another toy, but I think we can afford to let this one slip through the net.

For the position he played for the majority of the season you would expect him to be among the highest scorers in the squad - but he was still hardly prolific.

I don't see the appeal of bringing him back personally. Until the last few games of the season he offered so little and at times for me in the first half of the campaign epitomised the lack of spirit in the side. It has to be worth taking a chance on someone else for that position who could be a little more consistent and capable of turning a game in our favour rather than a player who is basically a passenger unless the rest of the side is playing well too. I have a feeling the staff think Dooley might be that player - but I would still like us to bring in at least one more option. Personally, will be disappointed if Inman is said option.

Tangled up in blue.

Credit to Posh's owner (notwithstanding his other shortcomings) for replying to fans' tweets. I can't imagine Mr Dunphy doing the same. A follow-up fan's comment, that Inman should be given another chance to play in pre-season games gets this reply:

Thats up to gaffer but we are heavily loaded in positions he plays so it'll be reserve football for year most likely. Thats the game. My advice; go play & get your career going again. Hilly works wonders with players like this ala Mendez who know earns fortunes in the prem!

From this I infer that the intention is to push out Inman, who presumably is signalling he'll not move to a less well-paid contract and that Dale are his main suitor.

I'd guess Hilly won't blink first, but that there's still a possibility of signing Inman.

I wouldn't say so. He played the majority of the season either in a midfield three or on the wing, and he still outscored all our midfielders and wingers. Literally no one impressed until about March so I think it's unfair to criticise him for offering little, when in fact he looked like one of our few players who had any attacking impetus for large parts of the season. And, as I said earlier, for the last third of the season he was one of the best players in the team.

Couldn't agree more Shun. Won't have a snide dig at anyone who has a differing opinion by implying they were watching the wrong player though. We can also take some consolation from the fact that the gaffer shares our opinion of him enough to make him an offer.

If we sign Inman for me it'll have to be on a squad player wage for 1 season and I doubt he'll accept that.

Sounds like Bradden has had a change of heart and is going to sign.

Think he will be a decent signing and I trust Hill’s judgement on this.

Bradden Imminent?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

He’s not the most reliable for transfer news. I hope he’s right on this one!

Good luck to him. Didn't think he fitted in at Dale but will always be remembered for THAT goal at Wembley. I'd forgotten how loud the cheer was.

Jordan Rhodes has left Sheffield Wednesday for Norwich on loan.

There can't be many who've played for both Ipswich and the Canaries.

£3 million in wages and bonuses for the loan deal according to twitter. Other clubs were sniffing, but deterred by the financial implications.
