Corbyn landslide... 22:40 - Mar 4 with 47788 viewsKerouac

...people, daft people, keep telling me that Corbyn is going to lead Labour to a landslide victory at the next election.

Really?

Can I take a straw poll of those on here who believe a party who appoints people like this;

...who in turn appoints advisers like this;

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5458719/Labour-leader-pressure-gay-MP-sa

...who comes out with shite like this;

She said: ‘I practise witchcraft. It’s something I’ve always been attracted to and I like it because it’s female-centric. I feel most religions are driven by and tailored for men.’

She added: ‘It interests me because it’s part of my ancestry — voodoo is more entwined in black identity than Christianity.’

Other pearlers include;
She called the suffragettes "white supremacists" and claimed that white people are "socially conditioned to be racist".

Are you going to vote for this shower?
Do these people represent YOU?

True that.

If Keir, Chuka, or Dai Miliband was in charge it would be a landslide.

Nothing to beat mind with the Maybot, Davies, Hunt, Gove, Boris, Fox, and Ian Drunken Smith. Idiots to a man/woman.

Listen to Adonis, Tarzan and Major. Just listen.

Agree with the first and third names, not so sure about the second.

Agree completely with the list of idiots.

Presumably the likes of , highjack etc are currently celebrating what looks like a fabulous start to any UK / US relationship with the news on the airline tariffs... imagine what we'll give away on the NHS.

Even if you are a leftie or you hate the Tories, a vote for Jeremy Corbyn is a vote to kill our country.

He is a dishonest man with not so hidden agendas.

Socialism fails everytime. It fails badly. Great for 5 years for us common folk then it descends into chaos.

The best countries in the world with the best standard of living all have strong economies. There will be no NHS without capitalism or a strong economy.

Theresa May only took the PM job to stop Leadsom or Gove getting it and rightly so. She is not a leader and hates every minute but she is better than than any alternatives at the time.

I hope everyone sees sense and vote Conservative until there is a real alternative.

It is not going to happen. The Tory Party is ripping itself apart whilst at the same time handling Brexit with rank incompetence.
Labour will win the next election if the current trend of events continue.
It won't be a landslide as we are now a divided Country and there is not the 'slack' in the electorate to be taken up by Labour this time.
They are ahead in virtually all polls however and once the campaigning starts they will move further into the lead.
Corbyn is a great campaigner that can identify with the elctorate whereas Maybot and Co have not got a clue other than to hurl insults at the Labour Leader along with the Murdoch press. A tactic that failed at the last election and is not fooling the majority of voters any longer.
As for your comments on Socialism failing well you are just reflecting the cycle of government. Be it the Left or Right governments they only last 5, 10, or rarely 15 years then we have a change.
Two cycles is more than enough for this Nasty Party and change can't happen quick enough for me.

"He is a dishonest man with not so hidden agendas."

So if his agenda is "not hidden", in what way dishonest?

People who are not blinded by Tory hatred would see his agendas.

He was a remainers but did ZERO campaigning, what does that tell you? He voted leave 100%.

He says he wants to be part of a customs union and single market which would pretty much be like being in the EU without having any influence. Its like sabotaging your own parachute then jumping out of the plane.

His current brexit position is a big lie, its sole purpose is to bring down the government. If he succeeds no doubt Labour will completely change their tune.

This is a party that sent out an email to all members to not vote for brexit as a topic of debate at the Labour Party Conference in Brighton. Very strange as its the biggest issue in politics. 👍

I really struggle to see how he identifies with the electorate at large to be honest.

If a front bencher votes against the whip but in the interests of their own constituency they get sacked by Jeremy Corbyn.

Jeremy Corbyn spent his whole political voting against the whip.

There is a word for this.

Hypocrisy.

Corbyn did campaign to Remain. The fact is it had very little coverage due to the Dodgy Dave one man show.
I have some sympathy with you in relation to Brexit. I think Labour have supported the Tory Party for far too long on this one.
They should call time on the whole fiasco but 'one size fits all ' rarely applies in politics so I am sticking with them regardless.

I matter of individual perspective I guess. I think he is. I think he will turn a 1 or 2 point lead into a workable majority.
It will not be a landslide however as there are still too many people out there scared of Commies and the nasty Unions having too much power.

I was trying to be nice but glad someone says it like it is.

When Cameron was up and down the country doing 18 hour days, Comrade Corbyn was too busy attending union rallies.

He did not campaign so lets not pretend. He is a liar.

But I mean how does he identify?

He's from a privileged background, selective education, always lived in a posh part of London, surrounded himself with the urban, chattering class. He's just an 'intellectual' (term used in the loosest possible sense) Marxist.

How does that identify with people from Swansea? He has less idea how 'ordinary' people live than May does.

So, he is a dishonest man?
But not so dishonest that he votes against the whip as a back bencher when he disagrees with the party line.

History is littered with shadow (and government) ministers who have either resigned or been sacked for disagreeing with the party line.

Most responsible organisations operate some kind of collective cabinet responsibility. If you disagree, the honourable thing to do is resign or buckle under.

Backbenchers have never been bound by those rules.

On that basis, why single out Corbyn?

No matter how hard you try there is no justification for the hypocrisy.

Why is Jeremy Corbyn trying so hard to change the percentage of MP's required to back a candidate for leadership nomination from 15% to 5%? I know the answer, do you? I will give you a clue. DICTATORSHIP

Why is Jeremy Corbyn so against the boundary changes which would ensure millions of people are equally represented? This is an easy one for you.

70% in favour of Europe. Wanted to remain but wanted change as well. I agree with that but I would have much preferred the stance to have been more in line with the Lib Dems.
I still live in hope that Brexit will go tits up however. Davis, a lazy politician, is making a right mess of it and Boris is helping to unintentionally screw things up.

Both main political parties are largely manned by idiots. If it wasn't all so important it could almost be fun watching them attempt to savage each other.

You would expect to see this in Zimbabwe not the UK.

Glad so many people are aware of these things as most people who vote Labour have no idea. They just vote Labour because their parents hated maggie and she stole the milk and closed the pits.
