It's hard making price comparisons between eras. I usually go by the price of a pint of bitter which I'm guessing in 73 would be about 30p but I could be miles out.

I remember it being 28p in 77 a weekend on the piss for a £5 but I was only earning £22 a week as an apprentice.
Some of us had a right old moan when they put seats in under the SAR,ruined some of the atmos. Pitch was always a fukking disgrace.I think that was the groundsman that heavy rolled the drainage pipes flat and we had to put in the artificial turf. Proppah football ground though.

Yeah, clearly remember my surprise coming up onto the Loft and gazing over at those seats in the Paddock. I occasionally stood in with the halfway line crowd and wasn’t happy with the summer alterations.
