Italian Jacks? 11:35 - Nov 8 with 6189 views | Pegojack | I know we have many posters on this board who are expatriate Jacks. Are there any living full time in Italy? I'd be interested to know.

Italian Jacks? on 18:12 - Nov 8 with 4626 views | jackal | I know quite a few jacks of Italian descent but they were born here. A bar in the village of Bardi has a Jack flag on display. When I was there we asked the owner to put on the Burnley game on and there were 10 of us watching. We won 1-0 at Turf Moor.

Italian Jacks? on 18:30 - Nov 8 with 4606 views | MrSwerve | My mother is Italian but I was born in the great Mediterranean region of Morriston. A lot of my family in Italy cheer for the Swans but have never been to a game.

Which bar, mate? As you say, an awful lot of Jacks of Italian descent, me included. A lot of the Italian families in South Wales hail from the Ceno Valley, of which Bardi is really the centre. Might explain the Swansea flag.

Paolo's Bar. On the market place. A couple of lads took the flag that we were given at the Capital Cup final. Actually I was in there in August and it's no longer there. Paolo's an AC Milan fan Must get him another. If he removes it it'll be horse's head time. I should have said that I'm of an Italian descent and from a Bardi family. I could name 8 season ticket holders who are also. [Post edited 9 Nov 2017 11:36]

Italian Jacks? on 10:34 - Nov 9 with 4365 views | squarebear | Back in 2003 I was at an Internazionale match and the Italian bloke in front of me turned round and asked where I was from. I told him. He said “So am I”. His Italian parents had lived in Swansea in the 1960s but moved back. Not a very interesting story but hey, I can’t use it anywhere else.
Italian Jacks? on 12:30 - Nov 9 with 4321 views | BrynCartwright | Used to be 4 Italian run cafes in the Bont, all long gone now unfortunately, including the legendary Aldo's that had 3 full size snooker tables out back. Loved that place; and Domachi's had the best ice cream.

In which case, we might know each other. Or of each other, at least. I also know of a lot of regulars at the Swans who belong to one of the Val Ceno families.

Frank and Aldo Berni started Berni Inns. My Dad was a friend. I met Aldo once when I was a young lad.. He came to our house in a chauffeur driven Roller. Go to Bardi during the summer hols. Most people will be speaking English with a Welsh accent. All my relatives are there. Unfortunately in the family crypt!

My granddad was a friend of your granddad? Father? Not sure on the ages. My great grandfather owned the dairy in Swansea (that later became Unigate), so knew all the Italian families as his milk was pretty useful for the ice cream :-) He was a good friend of Joe as well :-) [Post edited 9 Nov 2017 21:13]

My Dad opened the Burlington Restaurant in 1950. But he wasn't involved in the Windsor.. They may have known each other in the 50's, because Dad returned to Italy in 1960. I remember Gomer Davies of Gower Creamery. A lovely guy and true gent.

Not sure which cafe / restaurant it was. Just remember him talking about someone with the same name as you. My great grandad had the old Hafod dairy. It's probably been gone for decades now. I know it was Unigate later on. Not even sure where it was to be honest,
