He was excellent at set pieces yes. Without them he created similar amounts to other teams defensive midfielders (Gareth Barry, Guaye). Apart from that he was ok. £45m was a certain sale and if we had the option to go back again I would sell him all over again.

Quite. Quality player. A large number of those assists were NOT from set pieces (first set piece assist is half way through the video), but only when he had a team that supported him. And then he could deliver set pieces once we converted to a more defensive-based team. It's a myth that he only delivered set pieces.
We're missing him (or someone like this) without a doubt. That AM position has to be a priority in January.

Doesn't matter who we sign when they've been told they have to defend above all else. Montero* was ripping defenders a new one for some of those Siggy goals above. But that's not good enough - you've got to be able to drop into the fullback role for PC, like Routs can.
*Not saying Montero is the answer, but seems nuts to ship out our only natural left sided winger with no replacement.

Siggy has scored again today that is either an assist or a goal in every game in his last four games. Six goals so far this season for Gylfi, 3 for Everton and 3 for Iceland, all from open play I believe.
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.
