How many people are there in the world with this name?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Have to wonder if we'll look to get someone out now. Canavan has to be the prime candidate, not required at all.

Here's one for you...

We currently have two Jordan Williams.

In the past we've had two players called Fred Fitton, 2 x Fred Taylor, 2 x Tom Watson, 2 x Idris Williams, 2 x Dave Pearson, 2 x Brian Birch and 2 x Brian Taylor!

However, none of them were at the club at the same time as their namesake.

Any others?

Captain Brian Taylor?

He had a very strange gait when he ran....not quick at all but did a job......seemed to be at San Spotty for decades.

Did he break his leg in a game at home against the Cobblers? (TVOS?) What year would that be.....?

Oh, good ones, although the Watsons are referred to as Bill and William in Steven Phillipps' books, but I suppose that's the same as Chris and Christopher Jones.

Chris Lee isn't being included because he's Chris Lee!

Yes May 1982 - my first game !

I remember Brian Taylor as being more than useful with headers from set pieces. Probably joint third with Mark Monington and Alan Reeves as a threat, but behind John Bramhall and Craig Dawson. Also, a bizarre own goal against Torquay when goalie Chris Pearce blasted a goal kick into his own net via BT's heel. If there was such a thing as a "dubious own goals committee" in 1981 then Pearce should get rettrospective credit (or should it be debit?)

Brian Taylor is still a regular at Spotland, doing the match stats for PA.
