Jack Cork to Burnley? 14:16 - Jul 7 with 40666 viewsPapaLazarou

Hearing this one might be happen before we fly off to the USA. Wouldn't be a great surprise tbh, he's probably right down the pecking order now.

He's an acceptable back up in the defensive midfield position. There is no reason to sell him unless he desperately wants to leave.

Not when Britton, Mesa and Ki are all better than him. Get the money for him and invest in better

Hate this time of year. Rumours everywhere, 99% of which is made-up bollocks to fill the back pages of newspapers.

Having said that, Jack Cork has been a bit of a disappointment for me. Was really chuffed when we bought him, we'd been after him for ages.
I thought he'd kick on with us, but he's more limited than I gave him credit for. Good squad palyer tho, but he's probably best off moving on now.

I guess Britton would be back up for Mesa.. especially seeing as he signed an extension on his contract. With Mesa, Britton, Fer, Caroll, Ki Gylfi and possibly Fulton... thats probably too many midfielders if you include Cork in that mix. Burnley would be the type of team that would suit cork I think.

We've got far too many average squad players. Far better to ship out 7/8 of them and bring in 3/4 of a much higher standard for probably a similar cost.

Would rather see Ki go. Back to Celtic might suit him.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

Absolutely madness selling to a rival. Corky is a decent player who we can ill afford to lose. Hope it is bollo.

I still like Ki and am happy for him to stay, but I have no idea why. Nor why I've just admitted it.

Leon can't start and finish every game. Ki can't tackle and nobody knows about how Mesa will adapt to the Premier League.

Cork is worth more to us than any money that we would get for him.

Is the sensible and indeed correct answer.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

No change of heart. He is not good enough to warrant a starting position in our team.

Being a backup option is acceptable. Selling him to a rival and having to spend millions to replace him is not.

Would be disappointed to see him go, especially to one of our peers.

I think a period of stability under PC will bring out the best in him. I'm not writing him off yet, especially after the managerial car crash of a season that was 2016/2017

Not if we were to sell cork for say £5million and then buy someone like chalobah for around the same or even a little more. Potentially improving the first 11 but definitely improving the squad. Cork is very limited and doesn't suit us whatsoever

I wouldn't keep Ki at the expense of Cork myself, Cork will give you hardwork and commitment, same can't be said to often about Ki despite him having more talent.

Must've been the least talented regular in our squad last season. Also the reigning SCFC hide & seek champion, unless it was his cunning plan to get Bob the sack. I'd take Fulton over him all day
