24 EGPs and 2 Dale Blues.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Thanks for that,

I have the first 10 and a couple of the extras. Wasn't there an 'Anniversary issue' of some kind ? Sure I have that, or is that one of the 24 mentioned ?

That was a one-off edition (maybe in 2007?), but I'm not sure if it was included in the numbering system.

R17 is your man for that info.

I bought an Exceedingly Good Pie from Morison's the other day, it was a hot pot pie and was really tasty.

Have most of egp as well as the 2 dale blues which were well meaning but shite. In fairness the lads doing them were young and they were still worth a read. Loved egp and still a good bog read. Every shit needs an egp 😂😂😂

I used to get my copy from " Sportspages " in Manchester. It wasn't a bad read. I've got a pal who supports Darlington, I also got their fanzine for him - " Mission Impossible ". Now that was really funny.

Got about 200 in total from away trips etc. Some very funny. Some total shite. In fairness to R17 and the other guys they did a bloody good job and worked very hard. Sort of thing you would want involved in the current marketing set up of the club

How could you forget that Mr Yateman ?? It described us perfectly, for more years than I care to remember.

"Get some wingers on Richley" would have been a good title.

Hi
Regarding EGP,s am seeking issues 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 19, 21, 23 and 24 if anyone can help?

Also any of the first 6 issues of the "92nd" and the second issue of the "The Dale Blues"?

Also 3 HOME programmes from the 68/69 season, namely....

February 22nd HALIFAX (Postponed)
March 31st SOUTHEND (Postponed)
April 5th YORK CITY

Also the 1949 Rochdale v Notts County FA Cup game programme if in good condition.

Please drop me a private message. Thanks in advance. Up the Dale.

ps Just as a memory jogger does anyone recall Hughen Riley being pulled over by the police and he allegedly asking "Do you know who I am" Then again it could have been an urban myth of the time.

I remember the Hughen Riley incident being reported in the OB, under the headline of something like "Footballer asks police officer if he knew who he was".
Unfortunately i cannot remember what the reply was!

Think it was something along the lines of "Hey Sarge, there's a guy here who doesn't know who he is"

Poll: So who do you believe - Hendo or the Board?

I had the story off a player at the club at the time. It was on the Saturday night of the Rochdale v Colchester FA Cup tie.
