Bloody GMR 10:15 - Dec 13 with 10670 views | R17ALE | This might be me getting the wrong end of the stick, and I don't listen to it often thank God, but whenever I do, it always seems like the Eyre show as though Fred and Steve are matriarchs of the game. Fred is introduced as the man who has done everything in football. He hasn't. I've read his auto-biography and he's basically done fook all. Steve is always introduced as the former Rochdale manager who knows everything about the game. He doesn't. Why can't GMR just be honest with their intros? Steve should be introduced as a former failed manager of Rochdale who's trained up a few kids at City, and Fred's here because he's cheap and wants to keep himself in the limelight. Whilst I'm sure everyone is thoroughly pleasant and decent at GMR I just feel they're taking the listeners for mugs.

I'm sure we signed them after he had gone. Don't recall them playing in his last game. TVOS? Could be wrong like. [Post edited 13 Dec 2016 14:28]

Holden wasn't too bad as I recall, but didn't he also sign Stephen Jordan as well. I might have got the name wrong. Ex Man City, and obviously didn't undergo a medical as it was discovered he couldn't run in his first game! You'd think that FRMSE who knows everything there is to know about football would know this! I'd agree with others that we get good coverage all things considered, but it's hardly the specialist, insightful, all-knowing, coverage that they'd have you believe. And STGB's list of players posted earlier that he signed just make you cringe. Grimes, Tutte, Hackney, Twaddle, Marshall, Lucas, Trottman, Jordan, Holden - permanent Darby, Kean, Balkenstein, Barnes Homer, Ball, Benali - Loan I reckon just 3 of the above still play professionally. 3/15 is not good. I'd love to know how many of Hill's first 15 signings on re-joining us are still playing. I daren't research it as it'll probably be 3 and I'll look a right tvvat!

Here's Hill's squad in his 1st full season back with us in 2013/14. http://footballsquads.co.uk/eng/2013-2014/fltwo/rochdale.htm

Those two lists of players would send a shudder down anyone's spine! I hate the fact that when we've just been beaten away from home you have FRMSE telling Keith Hill where he is going wrong on local radio. Talk about your Dad getting you a job!

What a bloody shambles. All those signings and none of them up to much. If I signed 15 players I'd like to think I'd fluke at least one good one! But then I'm not FRMSE.

Hill did correct himself and say O'Grady. Didn't Coleman end up paying cash for Donnelly? He could well be the last player that we paid cash for?
