QPR speak to Holloway (WLS) on 13:36 - Nov 10 by Northernr | Start dealing with it now. He'll be "Hollowhead" or something like that by the end of March. I do agree Holloway works better with an astute assistant, but Christ if we can't get behind Ian Holloway and Marc Bircham we may as well fcking give up. |
'Hollowhead'; was indeed his nickname around here last time around. Wonder if that was LBlock under a different name?

Had them for ages... from 2008: MB: I’ve done my coaching badges and I’m doing my UEFA A license this summer so I’d like to be a manager one day but I’ve got some other interests because you just never know with football.

What's important is if the players get behind him. It was easy for him last time as half the team were rangers fans and he had characters like ainsworth etc who would run through a wall for this team. Will our current poles, French, Aussies etc buy into his particular brand of madness?

yeah, bunch of foreigners, what do they care? That's twice now, Nov. You got a problem you want to share? Pretty sure Gino Padula and Ale Faurlin ran through brick walls for us, just for starters. And we've had loads and loads of Brits who have quite clearly not given a fk. 'Easy for him'? What a load of nonsense. He bought them, he inspired them.

That was his nickname on the dot org board back in the old days. Plenty hated him back then, we'll never have a manager everyone likes

, get off your high horse! If you think the current lot care about this club in the same way that gallen, bircham, cook, rowlands, ainsworth etc did then you are a deluded fool. And faurlin wasn't here under Ollie!

To be fair nobody can accuse the players of not putting in the effort, as previously pointed out the squad were clearly playing for JFH. The major issue has been the appalling football served up, square pegs in round holes etc etc.
QPR speak to Holloway (WLS) on 14:43 - Nov 10 with 1694 views | 2Thomas2Bowles | It may turn out to be madness but the thought of IH coming back gives me a good feeling about the club how long that lasts............ But it would piss off Boston R so one good side to it [Post edited 10 Nov 2016 14:43]

I'll sit where i like mate. i have no problem with any of the players at this club caring this season. In recent seasons, yes, but this season they've shown commitment. I know Faurlin wasn't at the club when Ollie was here. Your point seemed to be that a bunch of foreigners won't care - i showed you examples of foreigners who did. And still do. Just as Gorkss did under Warnock, or Helguson. By the way, Gallen, Bircham, Cook, Rowlands and Ainsworth weren't at QPR when Ollie started either. He signed characters. He begged for two hours in the back of a car with it peeing rain outside for the money to loan Lee Cook. He identified them and then got them to play for him. Suggesting it was easy is just a nonsense. Yes it helped he had Rs fans, yes they'll probably have a tiny, tiny edge over players who supported other teams as a child, but Furlong wasn't a QPR fan, neither was Shittu, or Carlisle. Or Palmer. Or countless others who did a fine job for us - more than fine - brilliant. Just not sure what the fk nationality has to do with it?

QPR speak to Holloway (WLS) on 14:51 - Nov 10 with 1648 views | hoof_hearted | I have a sneaky feeling that Bircham is one of those people who is actually pretty smart and plays the comedy role because he's never had to be a deep thinker to make a living, so far. I wouldn't mind betting there's a really good manager in there at some point in the future. Tune in same time next week for another episode of Amateur Psychologist where we'll be featuring "Paladini - he says 'do you wanna some parmesan on that, sir?' but he means 'my mama never a cuddled me a when I was a bambino so I cannot tell the truth no more"

Let's put it this way, I'd take Birch on my quiz team before a lot of other footballers - including one of his best mates ;)

Haha! Poor old Kev! I know what you're saying about the players trying but when they do their little dance routine after half time it's right in front of me and the looks on their faces the last few weeks just reflects the dull looks they're getting from an uninspired crowd. The new manager will absolutely get more out of them if it's any of the expected names. There's trying like a professional and there's trying like people inspired to be winners.

antti, glad when you sat and watched the newcastle game, and the brentford game you had no problem with our players not 'caring'. everything is rosy in the garden Chauncey. p.s. this is my last reply to you, not interested in arguing with people on here.

That smacks of Sir Les telling him what a cushy little number it is compared to being the manager.

There is no doubt we will get behind them or there passion for the club, but the record at Millwall was dire. When he was here before he had Jackett to lean on and that made a good team. Number 2 is so important because Ollie is a "manager" not a coach
QPR speak to Holloway (WLS) on 15:36 - Nov 10 with 1438 views | rsonist | This feels like a mistake, but then all the options do to an extent. At least a few months of mob rule might unite the club for a few months, settle in the squad we've got, and then maybe we can crack on again next season. Bloody Fernandes bringing up the play-offs again... lessons learnt my arse.
QPR speak to Holloway (WLS) on 15:37 - Nov 10 with 1434 views | 1BobbyHazell | So Ollie it is. Feels like an appointment based on 'who will the fans like the most' as opposed to best available manager but who cares. He's back and we love him so lets enjoy it (while we can).

Yeh good points. TBH I just find the constant hunger for a managerial sacking, the fcking nicknames and what have, so bloody tiring and demoralising I'm just hoping that these two being dyed in the wool QPR people will give us a few months (at most) without it. That and I don't think there's too much wrong with the current group of players we have, so maybe the feel good factor and vast improvement in atmosphere at home games can kick start us.
