Tiger and Scorcher comic. I used to subscribe to that, and Roy of the Rovers. I loved Billy's Boots!
Here's one for you all:
RFA
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I'm feeling warm just looking at them..
First flat i shared with my brother we could never afford to have the electric heater on so we ran it with just the bulb creating the flickering flame so at least it looked like it should be warm!
I often say to people now in their 20-30's (i'm 50) that my abiding memory of my teenage years was being cold all winter, i rode a motorbike, worked in the cold and basically had cr*p cheap clothes, lived in a flat we never heated, duvet was paper thin etc. I genuinely only felt warm the odd Sunday i went to a friends house for dinner with his family, they had to force me out at the end of the night! Do others think/remember the same?

Yes, but partly because we were always hungry too :)
A magnificent football club, the love of our lives, finding a way to finally have its day in the sun.

Spontaneous human combustion. As a child it was quite a likely way of dying. It just doesn't happen anymore.😉
That takes me back. My aunt used to have magazines on that and other 'supernatural' occurrences. "The Fortean Times"? Scared the life out of me as a ten year old. Like you I genuinely thought that it would get me one day. Why my parents let her show me this stuff i've no idea. Basically, looking back it only appeared to happen to people who fell asleep with fags on the go

This is going to sound ridiculous but me and DistortR went to school with a lad whose mother had a heart attack when she was cleaning out her coalfire and when she was discovered apparently all that was left was her arse and legs as she had fallen into the ashes and had basically smouldered away like a candle slowly 'dissolving' away'! This was honestly the story that went about and i was friendly with one of the firemen who was called to the house, this happened a good few years after we left school, but could have been exaggerated of course. G - Had a name like 'Bod' from Janets Corner?
Not quite spontaneous combustion of course

The Bermuda Triangle
We had the Bermuda Triangle game as kids. You threw the dice and moved your ships around the Caribbean, then the cloud got a move. Sometimes the magnets picked your ships up, sometimes it didn't. Hours of fun.
Board games generally. My favourites...
